Since Saundra always names her antique adaptations, I thought I needed to follow suit. I have named mine Treetop Birds. I started this in a class last month with Kris Miller and had hoped to have much more hooked. My goal was to have the green scroll-like border and the antique dark background around the tree done before my class next week with Cathy Stephan (Red Barn Rugs) where I am starting an even bigger antique adaptation. It wasn't meant to be . . . sigh.
I also finished hooking and am working on the binding of this little 10 1/2" x 10 1/2" mat that will be a door prize at my guild hook in this September.

Tree top birds is a great name for your rug! I am not a green fan either. How wonderful your pumpkin looks. Never would have thought it came from one piece. Janice
Those greens are gorgeous. Photo of Molly is so sweet.
I really am loving the color choices of Tree Top Birds. It is definitely a grey green and reminds me of the color of lichen. And, of course, I adore that little pumpkin mat. What fun wool...and I am always a sucker for beading. ~Robin~
The grey green is my favorite green and your Tree Top Birds is fantastic. Woman, how can you accomplish more on that one when you've been working on things to sell...duh.
The pumpkin piece is delightful and think the name of the wool is Joseph's Coat which I haven't seen sold in a while so am grateful for what little I have left.
I really like the grey-green. It has so much personality. What adaptation will you be doing with Catherine?

Your Tree Top Birds rug is looking beautiful and I also love the grey-green wool you used. You are one busy rug hooker and also so generous.
The pumpkin mat is also very lovely. That striped orange wool is so versatile.
You'll have a lot of stuff when it comes to vending.
Take care, hugs.

Love the Tree Top Birds. I think that gray green looks great with the brown. And you’ve gotten a lot done. You hook the best pumpkins and the beading sets it off perfectly!! Have a great weekend.
