Fall from Above ~

What a beautiful fall day!
I washed and put storm windows in the doors
(4 of them - not a hard job but one I hate) and managed to wash a few other windows, too.
Not fun stuff but nice to have done.

For fun we went to view the fall foliage from above.

My handsome pilot :)

The pictures do not do the foliage justice :(

Corn maze

Eke and Zeke is bound using orange wool ~
my favorite way to bind
(though we know that binding is not a
favorite chore of most hookers).

Sunflowers ~ all eight of them are D-O-N-E.
I know, there's only 7 in the picture ~
one is already residing in SC.

I'm not sure you can tell,
but they are lightly stuffed with snippets
and it worked out very well.
I had no problems inserting the spring.

Another weekend is coming to a close . . . sigh.
They pass much too quickly.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

Love your rug so much! Great on the sunflowers too. I'm not sure I'd want to go up in a small airplane. Beautiful views though!

I love seeing the color from the air. It looks like a lovely day to fly.
I do love stuffing things with my wool snippets. I love the way they feel and how they look. You know I think I enjoy binding now, I keep telling myself that over and over. :)
It was too short of a weekend, Good job on getting your windows done. Have a very nice week Lauren.

Hi Lauren,
Thank your handsome pilot for the amazing color tour!! I will NOT see anything like that in AZ!! I really do miss the colors and smells of Fall, so it was nice to travel along!!
Your sunflowers are so sweet and love the puffed centers!! I love working with wool snippets and never throw them away as they make great fillers!!
Take care and have a great week!
Warm Hugs~

I've been dragging my feet on the window washing thing and mine definitely need it. Quite a nice collection of sunflowers and they will keep their color unlike real ones.

Good for you for getting that window cleaning job done...I think I'm about to hire a window cleaner. At the rate I'm going they are not going to get cleaned before the hard cold hits. I'm slacking down.

And good for you for getting the binding done on your rug and for finishing all those sunflowers. They look fantastic.

Have a great day.
Hugs,
JB

Wow, you are so lucky to have a handsome pilot to tour you around. Gorgeous views and I am sure they were even more breathtaking in person.
Dang, those sunflowers are cute. I will add them to my list of projects I will get to if I live another hundred years. Lol

Thank you for the wonderful pics of fall. I wish we had colors like the ones you see back east. It must be nice to have your very own pilot. Hugs cheri

I recently washed windows AND screens - amazing how much I can see now! LOL Fun to see the view from the plane - I've heard it's fun to fly around on the 4th of July to see fireworks from several communities at once - don't know if I'll ever have the opportunity to do that though. Great finishes, ALL!
