Seriously?

I started Red Barn Rugs America Banner about a month ago and here is my progress ~ or lack thereof.

Then last week in my Katie Hartner class I started Indian Peace Flag, an antique adaptation offered by the Woolley Fox.

So yesterday, I was in the wool closet looking for a piece of screen to transfer a pattern from Sue, when seriously, this fell out of the mess.  So what did I do?  Quickly put it on linen figuring at only 8" x 24", that is something I could finish before the 4th of July.  Since I  have all my red, white and blue wools pulled for America Banner, easy peasy, right?  A paper pattern by American Folk Artist S. West, available from Buttermilk Basin.

I feel like I am living in the Twilight Zone.  Today was hatch day #5 of those darn Canadian soldiers . . . and then another flying bug on my car this morning and this evening yet another I haven't seen before.  Earlier in the season we had the midges so we are up to four creepy flying insects (or are they bugs?) this June.  Enough already!!!  (Whine over.)

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

I see you removed the light value in your first piece and it does look better. But may well have been equally as lovely if the lighter value had been spread around a tad more.
Your eagle is looking quite regal! And I'll bet if you spent the time finishing up the first piece instead of starting yet another one which fell out of the closet, that one would be done by the 4th and you'd end up with one less UFO, just MHO.

Really like all of them. And since you have those colors pulled, you are just being efficient. Sorry about the bugs! Stay inside and hook!

Some beautiful projects. I laughed about the one that fell out of your closet. Something like that happening would have definitely distracted me. Heck, I get distracted by far lesser things.

We had a June Bug in our house the other evening. Don't know how the heck it got in either. We had one lone Mayfly on the window screen. Glad it was only one. I hope you get more of your projects completed. As Robin would say...T-9 and counting. Janice

Wow you are a hooking machine!!!
Sorry about the flying things. I go out early in the garden and it is pretty good and we sit in the porch in the evening no bugs.
