Senseless Act of Violence ~

I am sure many of you have heard of the senseless ambush of three police officers in Ohio.  It happened in the city where I live.  Two officers were sitting in their cars having lunch when ambushed.  A third officer came to assist and was also shot.  I know it happens everywhere, but not this close to home.  One 35 year old officer has  succumbed to his injuries.

What the hell is wrong with people?  The shooter was 28 years old and lived in the city.  Now he is dead.  What must his family be going through?  How does a parent wrap their head around such a heinous crime?  I know these are all rhetorical questions to which we will probably never have answers.

Please keep the families of the officers in your prayers.  Pray for our city.

Lauren

I've started to write my comment several times because there's so much I want to say but decided to keep them as thoughts. Sadly that kind of evil exists and it sickens me. God Bless the fallen Officer and his family and pray for the recovery of the other officers.
Just hope other officers know that the majority of us thank them for walking that very thin blue line. God Bless them all.

Oh NO!! I had not heard this...WTH?? That is not only senseless, it's senseless tragic. Praying for the officers and their families. And, yes, also for the family of the person who wreaked this evil. But sorry, they're last in line in my prayer line. :-(

The world is turned upside down these days when the officers who serve to protect us are held in such low regard and even hated. I do not understand it. I am sorry for your community and I will pray for these brave officers and their families.

I saw this on local news. Disgusting. I am stunned by the comments on some stories regarding brutality and murders, blaming the victim. They excuse the criminal by suggesting the victim probably ticked them off or represents a group they dislike, and deserved it. Where in the hell did they learn this is ok?
