Plus Two ~

Ok.  When Saundra is working on two rugs at a time, the second rug is a plus one.  Since I am alternating three rugs, I guess I have a plus one and a plus two.

Yellow Bird, started in my Kris Miller class, doesn't have a number 😁  A little progress has been made, but I need to reverse hook the waist a bit to get the spacing better.

If you are a hooker, in your wildest dreams would you imagine that this is the wool I used to hook the face?  Friend Sue suggested the wool and she so graciously shared a piece with me.  I LOVE IT!!!

My plus one is Ezra's Farm, started last week in Maria Barton's class.

So what did I decide to do?  Start another small mat since Halloween is quickly approaching and it would be fun to get this one done.  The hooking is nearly complete.  Now whether I get it assembled in a timely manner is another story!

Shady Spot is finally bound.  It took me almost forever.  Now to get it labeled and I can really call it d.o.n.e.  The background is much more subtle in person.

I am about ready to give up trying to get the wool colors to photograph properly!!!  It just isn't happening.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

In your wildest dreams, yes. I've used that wool for primitive flesh as well as a smaller checked piece and both work wonderfully. I don't see anything wrong with the midriff or waist of that lovely lass.
As usual your pumpkin is turning out well but you've had plenty of practice and have it down pat. Shady Spot's background is a nice soft dark. And just LOVE Ezra's Farm!!!!

Gah!! I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd fall so hopelessly in love with Yellow Bird...but I did and am! But nope, would never have dreamed that wool would hook up like that. I don't have that gift.... And that pumpkin head is ADORABLE!!! (Well, of course, I love Ezra's Farm too...how could I not?? How could anyone not?) Yeah I'm gushing...but it's a well-deserved gush. ~Robin~

Loved seeing all the rugs in the show and I love all the rugs you have been working on. I do love the primitive style and your color choices are perfect. I do like how that wool made the face more shaded looking.

I am amazed by the wool you used for the girl's face! It's perfect. I cannot get my brain to work on more than one rug at a time- Great multi-tasking you have going on there!

Thank you for showing the wool before hooking. I don't think I'd guess it was a plaid by looking at the finished item. I'm guessing the skirt was also plaid wool? Or maybe a bolder stripe...
I love the big, round, wide-open, deer in the headlights, oh crap that's a train in the tunnel, eyes on the jack o'lantern. It's a nice change from the usual triangles.
And Shady Spot is awesome - those eyes on the horses always give me a giggle.

Never in my wild eyes would I choose that wool for a face, but looks amazing! All of your rugs are looking mighty fine. I never did hook the pattern you sent me and I feel so bad about it. Maybe next year. Janice
