Saundra (Woodland Junction) decided to have yet another hook-along, and with the upcoming Easter holiday, she thought a bunny rug would be apropos. Now I am not sure what rabbits have to do with Easter, but the antique rug Dancing Bunnies was chosen. So many antique adaptations are being hooked, and you can follow along here.
I hooked Dancing Bunnies last year, so thought I would sit this one out.
Won't Saundra be surprised when she reads this post and sees that I decided to participate? After seeing all the wonderful interpretations of the rug on her blog, I was feeling a bit left out 😢 Here is my progress so far.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊

You joined in! And your second time around. It’s looking good. I love the way you hooked up the first one. Antique-y colours! Yay
Can’t believe you are hooking another. I need to get mine out and hook it. After I finish the huge verse runner that I am working on. Hope you have a great weekend.
I'll be a monkey's uncle, make that aunt!!!! You sneaky woman you didn't even mention it!!!!! Well the rabbits pattern was chosen with the anticipation of spring and Easter. What? You never had a chocolate bunny in your Easter basket as a kid? What do you mean you have no idea what rabbits have to do with Easter???
You are full of surprises. Your rug is looking great. I can understand how it was impossible for you to stay away from the happy dancing bunny rug challenge. So much creativity with this simple pattern. It's been fun watching.
Hugs, Julia
Oh I am so glad you decided to join. Your rug looks great as does the first one you did.
I really love what you are doing with your bunnies. I just love seeing those perfect loops.
Cute, cute, cute.
Yay !!! You are joining in the Fun again !!! Love your first version & your latest is great too ! Think this is a pattern you can do over & over , its so cute !!! Would be Fun to hook all chocolate bunnies with ears & tails missing ....like mine were when I was little , My Mother loved to nibbles those off !!!LOL !!!
Glad you joined in. Looking good. So liked last years version too. I cut more worms for mine today and will hook tomorrow. Janice
Now I'm wondering, so I searched for an answer. Eggs and those reproducing rabbits are symbols of fertility and new life. There's more to it dating way back, too much information to relay because I'm lazy and crabby and sad. They come in various chocolates, and your rug is just as sweet. The end.
That is a beautiful rug to hook and I do love how it looks. I have a mini version in punch that I won as a kit.

Well, aren't you the little sneak GT???! I know MD must be tickled all sorts of rosy that you joined the dance party. I love your version 2.0 so far...but it's going to be hard to outdo your original. And, like Kim, I just love seeing your perfect little loops. ~et~ (And you're welcome...thanks to Marly's readers' digest version, I was able to spare you a history lesson on rabbits and Easter and spring and fertility and all that jazz.) 😜
I love the fur color on your "new" dancing rabbits -- I wonder what color bunny #3 will be?!
