My favorite design is that long runner. BUT, no way in hell I'd hook something that big. I know thy offer a small version but don't like that one as well. Have always wanted to hook a rug or mat with the picture mounts on the corner. Liked the rug with the tie at border until I saw it was poorly finished on the back side. I'd have put a piece of wool or other fabric on the back to give it a nicer finish.
Those rugs were amazing! I loved the long prayer rug! I wonder how long it took the hooker to hook it! I never even noticed the tie rug...I missed a lot of rugs, I believe....I think I was too busy shopping!!
So many nice rugs. I love the realistic-looking ones of the sheep and bighorn and I recognize the smaller one from April DeConnick. She still keeps in touch with me through email. She does magnificent work. I couldn't read the labels next to the rugs. I was wondering if Judy Carter had some rugs in the show. Her rugs are outstanding. Thanks so much for the rug show. Have a good weekend. Hugs, Julia
Love those little bunnies in the corners of rug 2. Nancy Parcels, the lady with the ties, had that rug with her at Caraway this year. She also taught the class about dyeing with ties. Clever.
Hi Lauren, So many amazing rugs!! Thanks so much for taking us along via all your wonderful photos!! One of my friends has used ties to dye paper and the results were so beautiful!! You just never know what someone will come up with next!! Creativity has no limits!!! Hope you are continuing to heal and get back to normal!! Heart Hugs~ Julie xo
Welcome and thank you for stoppping by. I live just two blocks from beautiful Lake Erie. I am a rug hooker, needle puncher, and antique collector. I bought my first antique in 1983 and have not stopped since. I keep telling my boys that the antiques are their inheritance.
I am mom to two adult sons and grandma to 15 year old Jake.

Just amazing...and that sheep one. I had to take a second look and saw the birds. My favorite though is the bunny one. I LOVE bunnies! Janice

I love seeing all of these great rugs. It would be hard to pick a favorite.
I have heard of dying with 100 percent silk. Love all the rugs
