This 'n That ~

I hope everyone had a safe holiday and were not affected by the devastating tornadoes or storms.  Last eve I drove in the heaviest rainfall I think I've every experienced.  Thankfully I only had to drive a few miles and arrived home safely.

FINALLY ~
It seems I've been hooking this rug this forever.  Started seven weeks ago at rug camp.  Color planned by Tricia Travis.  The area that is hooked is 14" x 40".  When I figured out the area completed, it is only 2/3 done :(   I am going to take a break from it and work on a couple smaller projects.

This small mat (only 12" x 20") was started in a class last October with Cathy Stephan (Red Barn Rugs).  Not one loop had been pulled since class ~ until last night when I finally pulled it out of the closet.  It's about time, no?

I am so happy to report that all my rugs are labeled ~ except for one more I discovered that did not have a label.  I will wait to print it so that I do not waste the printable fabric.  Over 30 rugs/mats now have labels.  Thank goodness they are all documented on my blog :)

This Saturday is the Western Reserve hook in.  Melissa and I are vending.  I am thankful for the opportunity, but will be happy when it is in the past.  I have been so busy trying to get things made.  There is a lull over the summer which will be welcome.  Several get aways are planned in addition to a hooking retreat.  I'm sure the summer will fly by.  I am still so far behind on yard work and though I don't buy many annuals, not one has yet been purchased.  Hopefully soon.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)

Bob and I were down near Dayton last weekend and we had 4 inches of rain the first night we were there. So glad we were not there the other day. This has been some crazy weather this Spring. Those pugs are adorable! Also love your rugs and glad you are finished labelling them with help from your blog. Janice PS good luck at your show.

Ya know, that antique floral is quickly becoming one of my very favorite rugs ever.... Don’t leave it linger too long (said she who only recently picked up a hook after years).... (Yes, you read that last part correctly...but don’t go getting all giddy on me...there isn’t gonna be anything quick about this LOL. Those pups are absolutely precious! I think we have set a new record here....almost a day and a half with no rain. So depressing. Me either in the plant department.....pretty soon it won’t even pay. And I do do a lot of annuals. Good luck at the show...it will be good to finally have a bit of a break.... ~Robin~

That is a beautiful rug and I love the darker shades with pops of color.
I get tempted to make some, I still have plenty of supplies and could use a few in some spots, love using them as bench toppers.

I read your blog yesterday and didn't have time to leave a comment then I forgot. I've been digging in the garden vegetable garden and pruning rose bushes...etc.

I love those two rugs and the colors, especially the big one. Good for you for finishing labeling all those rugs. I know you will do well at the show. I should be labeling my rug but still haven't tried it.

Both rugs are looking wonderful. I also hate wasting printable fabric so also wait till there are enough labels to fit on a sheet.

Hi Lauren,
That picture is ADORABLE!!! So much Pug cuteness!!!
Your rug is really beautiful and I think you have done an amazing job hooking it! Love those colors, too! I know it can be a good thing to take a break sometimes, so step away and enjoy something else, like your smaller rug!!
Congrats on labeling all those rugs!! Quite an accomplishment! You will get to the other one soon!! Hope you have a successful time vending and then can take a break to enjoy some real fun!
Take care and have a great weekend, my friend!

I was thinking about you and all of that weather in Ohio. Heck, the weather is everywhere. Even here.
Your big rug is fantastic. You said you weren't finished then I saw that border you have to do. Its really beautiful though.
I love the smaller one too.
I have a Bible study in my home on Thursdays, do you know not a single women is aware of rug hooking? Nor do they even seem interested.
In California I feel like the lone ranger.
I love that picture of all of those sweet pugs.
Have fun vending. I hope you do incredible sales.

Yep. Summer will fly by. It's already June! AUGH!

The rain here has been ridiculous but nothing like the widespread flooding. Terrible.
