Three little mats hooked. Three little mats bound :) I hooked another version of Red House Wool Studio's Key to my Olde Heart. You can find the pattern here.
Two of the mats even have labels! I hate when I sew them on crooked (even though I carefully pin them on straight), so after taking this picture, I redid it. This mat was bound with the wool I used for the background.
This mat was whipped with #8 cut worms, the colors used in the background. It was hard to get a good picture. I like the look, but find it hard on the hands to do.
New England Gravestone Urn by Old Scotties Primitives was whipped with wool yarn. Another finish I like and much easier on the hands.
I'm very close to finishing my Tulip & Peony rug, pattern by Maggie Bonanomi. Hopefully I will show that finish in my next post.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)

love the heart mat!
You've been working overtime and accomplished a LOT. Love your hearts and key pieces. My labels never seen to get sewn on straight even tho I pin mine too. Frankly, a lot of time it is due to the uneven edge of the rug sometimes on mine.
Hi Lauren,
Great job on the binding!! I know you have to feel so good to get those done! Love your labels, too!! Hope you have a great weekend!!

I just learned a new hooking word ... 'whipped'. Sounds good to me and I love all of your rugs. The labels are sweet too. Do you make your own?
Great work with Folk Art Hugs, Barb
I like your finishes and I really like your edges. So perfect. Its easier on my hands to whip them with yarn too.
You do such nice rugs Lauren.
Wonderful rugs and finishes, perfect for Valentines.
I should try some mats, and maybe bind some old ones that have been sitting;)

congrats on your finishes Lauren - I thought the #8 cut whipped edges looked very nice. You do a great job on all your finishing - have a good weekend - Mel
What a neat finisher you are. Ihave yet to try the wool strip method. Yours looks quite tidy. I have seen others that were not so neat with the wool strips appearing twisted. Congrats on your finishes.
What a great rug for Valentine's. Great job!Janice
