I started hooking Daisy like gangbusters, but since then, even though I've worked on it a bit each day, I don't seem to be making much progress. I still haven't decided what I am doing with the tail. I think I will get more of the background hooked before deciding, but it will be an easy fix if I want to change it. I just may leave it so every time I see the rug I can laugh a little.
I had so much fun reading all your comments about my "Donkey Balls" post, that I've done a little give-away for all those who left a comment. I've drawn three names. Congrats to Middle Sister Gayle, Jacqueline and the Dirty Martini Queen. I will send each of you a paisley necklace I made :) Please send me your snail mail address.
Soon I will need to set Daisy aside to hook these (must be hooked and prepped before the class) for a dimensional hooking class I am taking at the beginning of March with Annette Shaffer. I also need to hook or applique something "Eastery" for a friend.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Like many areas, we are in a deep freeze that thankfully will only last for a day.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren
Oh leave the precious tail as is. What a conversation piece. Your donkey will be know from far and wide for it's rich heritage. Actually the tail seems more important than the donkey.
ReplyDeleteWe're in the deep freeze here too and I'm being blame for sending this cold front down your way by someone which I won't mention.
Have a great weekend Lauren and stay warm inside...
Hugs,
JB
I meant, your donkey will be known from far and wide. hehe

That is a fun rug and sometimes i leave goofs, just because it is fun. Can't wait to see your new pieces.

We bad girls 'just want to have fun'. And the tale (tail) will continue.
ReplyDeletelolol! I'm still laughing about that tail! Love the flowers coming up next to the dreaded tail. :D Love your new projects too.
ReplyDeleteLeave it as is. It will bring you so many memories in the future? Are you taking classes at the next Rebekkah class?
ReplyDeleteI love the rug Lauren, I would leave it, Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteLol, I loved reading your comments too. Perhaps Daisy needs to be renamed, something more fitting to the "special feature".
ReplyDeleteLauren when I read you were working like gangbusters I swear in my mind I thought I read ballbusters....lol that was a great big chuckle you heard all the way from NC. Love the spring hooking that you'll be tackling next.
ReplyDeleteSo excited to see that I won a special "major award" from you. Sorry know it's a Christmas reference but we use it year round in our household along with "fragile" must be Italian. Thank you so much
The comments were a lot of fun to read. Maybe you should leave it! It would always bring a smile to anyone who sees it.
ReplyDeleteI think it has been just as fun for us as you try and figure out how to make Daisy a girl.
ReplyDeleteI love those other goodies you might be making. What fun. I hope you are having a fun day.
awwww - now that bunny is too cute! hope you pick that one to do in your class. cheers Mel
