A True Friend ~

I'm back to hooking my "Ellie rug", A True Friend, pattern by Cammie Bruce ~ Primitive Junky.  Cammie has many great whimsical yet primitive patterns.  I've changed it up a bit to look like my Ellie.  The color of the rug is pretty close to her true color.  In the picture below, taken without a flash, the color is washed out but I just love the look on her face.  I still need to fix that line around her ear.

Giving me the stink eye.

I think I started the rug in August, so I guess it's time to finally be finishing it.  Can you tell that I don't like to hook letters?

The decorations are coming down more quickly than they went up, but not as quickly as I'd like.  I've made 20+ trips to the attic since coming home from work and have a couple more to go.  Then it's on to putting all the "normal" stuff in its place.  I'm just a glutton for punishment.  Maybe some day I'll learn . . . but probably not :(

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

  2. I love this one!
I feel your pain with taking the decorations down even if I did skip it this year. I swear every year that I'm going to scale back but I never actually do it.

  4. Ellie looks cute even with the stink eye... Is that a surgical scar on her hind leg

Your Best Friend rug looks beautiful and I bet Ellie will quickly claim that rug as her own...

I just finished putting my Christmas decorations away last evening.I didn't put out as many decorations as last year but still had too much... I got my exercise carrying all those totes to the basement.

    Have a great day Lauren.

  6. Putting back decorations is exactly why I don't decorate like I used to, that plus no one comes here for the holiday as I go to my sons.

I wondered about that scar on Ellie's leg too. You have a great likeness of her hooked, good going!!!!
