Just a Quickie ~


 
One week from today Thanksgiving will be over.  How is that possible???
 
Just wanted to pop in with a quick hello.  Saundra, no whining, but I've finished the hooking on my challenge rug.  I decided to stick with the wool I chose for the dog.  It is so much more subtle in person.  I'm not sure if I'm wild about him, but at this time I don't think I will change him.  
 
 
This is the wool I used, cut 90* from the stripe.  (Does that make sense to you?)  For his back, I used only the blue stripe.  The finished size is about 20 1/2" x 27 1/2".  I think I hooked this rug in about 3 1/2 weeks which is really fast for me.  I am happy to have the hooking done ~ now I just need to decide how I want to bind it.

    I'm not whining I'm crying since mine isn't done and you hooked yours faster than me. I think your rug looks nice and love that chicken!

    Your challenge rug looks great and I agree with Carol, well balanced. Very pleasant to the eye. You really hooked that fast and did a super job. It feels good to get things done.

    looks great...very charming. needs a border...perhaps binding it with the striped wool will pull all of the colors
    together...this will keep the eye centered on the motifs in
    the middle. good luck!

    I like the doggie Lauren and I haven't even found my hooks yet since the move. I'm missing it a lot so must make an effort this weekend to get those craft room boxes sorted. I'm amazed that you finished in 3 weeks and I really like your choice of colors.

    Very versatile wool that you can cut two different directions for two different looks. I actually like your dog just the way he is - very fun! Great rug and I know how good it feels to have it nearly done!
