Happy Halloween ~

Halloween Greetings
to all my friends in blogland :)

Here is a picture of Loocie a couple years ago in her witch costume.  Isn't she just the sweetest little witch ever?  This year she was going to be a ladybug, but the weather just didn't co-operate. Thankfully for about the first 45 minutes of trick-or-treat the rain stopped, but it was just to wet to dress her up and have her outside.  I'm happy to report that I had hordes of kids so I don't have 8 bags of candy to eat :)

I finished my Tonya Robey snowguy from the most recent issue of Primitive Quilts and Projects. He looks nothing like the one hooked by Tonya, but the recipient would not appreciate a grungy snowman.  This will suit her much better.

Now on my frame is a pattern offered by Lori of Homespun Prims.  You can find the pattern here. This Belsnickle will also be a fun, quick hook at only 7" x 16".  I thought his arm needed a little more definition, but I think the black line is too stark .  Suggestions?

Happy Halloween.  May your trick-or-treat pail be full of yummy, no calorie candy.

Pug hugs :)
Lauren

  1. Hi, Lauren, your rugs are lovely as always. The weather is so nasty here that trick or treat was postponed until Sunday. I can't ever remember them delaying it when I was little. When we lived in town, we had lots of kids, but out here in the country, there has NEVER been a single kid!! No one even buys anything. Oh, can you write and tell me how you dry walnuts?

  2. Me again, :) Forgot to say how cute Loocie is. Bella won't even wear a barret to keep her hair out of her eyes...she just instantly rubs it out. If she won't wear her hoodie this winter, I'm going to be upset :)

  3. cutie dog!We are wet and raining also not to much fun for the little ones.
I would hook the back ground first before I changed anything.
    I love your pieces.

  5. Hi Lauren,

  7. Great little witch that Loocie. Too bad about the wet weather. We had rain too and no Trick or Treaters again this year.

A grey outline may be better than the black. Just my thought.

    Your little snowman is perfect.
    Happy weekend.
    Hugs,

  8. Thankfully, my kids had other people over so I don't have to eat 8 bags of candy. I love your snowman rug I think it turned out awesome. I guess I need to get myself in gear and do some Christmas rugs, I haven't done any ever, not even a snowman. Your pug looks so cute in her costume.
