Vintage Halloween ~

~ ~ ~ WELCOME ~ ~ ~

* * * * *
I've bound my Cathy G sunflower rug and have hung it from the cupboard door.

If I was hanging it on the wall, I probably would have just used a couple small nails, but did not want to nail it to the cupboard door.  I didn't have a dowel, so I sewed a chopstick to the binding and hung it with fishing line.  I guess it works!

I've probably shown many of my Halloween decorations in years past, but for those newer followers or those like me with CRS, I will show some again.  Here are vintage tin noise makers . . .

. . . and vintage papier mache.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

  3. You are, indeed, my wonderful evil twin. :o))) You don't know how big I smiled seeing your delightful Halloween collectibles....I collect the vintage noisemakers and papier mache JOL's too...of course.... (And your sunflower rug looks great and finished up....love the ingenuity of the hanging part....I always struggle with that part. Hadn't thought of chop sticks before... ;o)) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

  4. Oh be still my beating heart, I love halloween decor and really miss mine this year. I also collect papier mache punkins. Have you read the book Vintage Halloween Collectibles by Mark Ledenbach? It's my bible on what I still want to find and I keep it out all the time so I can constantly flip thru the pages.

  7. Hooray for chopsticks! That's probably even better than a dowel because of the flat sides. It is keeping your sunflower hanging perfectly! Love the vintage decorations! That last guy is reeeeeeallly scary looking!

  11. There's nothing wrong with improvising - I don't think that I would have ever thought of using a chopstick and fishing line though. Good idea. And love all your vintage Halloween things. I remember a couple of those noise makers from when I was a kid.
