Last year I was making a monthly goal list and posting it to my blog. It really motivated me and helped me to keep on task. Once summer arrived, I let it fall by the wayside. I had every intention of beginning it again, but we all know that the road to hell is paved with good intentions :) So many things on the list last year need to be on a list once again. Cleaning the basement (did that a couple weeks ago), working on taxes (started that yesterday), filing paperwork (haven't done any of that since last year), deleting emails (somehow I am up to almost 13,000 in my inbox - how did that happen???), and on and on it goes. {Sigh}

One thing I've had lately is my hooking mojo. (I'm doing a little happy dance!) Here's the progress I've made on "Little Dog". This is really a fun pattern. Of course Annie had to get in on the action.
I am VERY close to being done with my Berk's County Floral that I started at the ATHA biennial last October and I also know what will be on the frame next ~ very unusual for me to plan ahead. I hope I can keep that mojo!
Our winter storm once again fizzled but you'll get no complaints from me. We only received a couple inches of snow but had a lot of blowing. By Wednesday we are supposed to be back up to 40 degrees. Only 37 days until spring :)
Pug hugs :)

Hi Lauren,
ReplyDeleteWow, and I thought 3,900 or so was bad. lol I found an old email account on yahoo the other day. It said I have about that many emails. And NO spam, now how can that be? NO SPAM
First, yahoo deletes accounts that are not used after a few months or something. And second, how in the world could there be no junk mail? That doesn't make sense. Maybe the junk mail spilled over into the inbox. And that's how come there are so many emails in there. LOL
Love your little dog the real one and the hooked one :)
Have a good week. Take care, Janet W
You've gotten a lot done on your little dog. It looks wonderful! Saundra just sent me a Magdalena dog pattern that I'm eager to hook. I'm pulling loops on an endless hit or miss right now. Feels like you make no progress, but I'm almost done with one side. It's a fun rug though. Miss Annie is so cute tackling that little dog rug!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the deleting...I have to click on each one, then delete them...it hurts the hand after a while. LOL
Hugs,
Courtney
You do have the fever for sure and how fun is it to just hook and think! Love your rug and to be working on 2 rugs at once I don't think I have ever done that.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could get my self together to start taxes eck. Glad your storm fizzled we were very cold Sun but up to the 40's this week. Love this winter. I know not everyone agrees.
Cathy
Please send me some of that rug hooking mojo! I am running very low.
ReplyDeleteYour doggies are so sweet...both the rug and the real little fur bundle.
Now don't laugh but it was chilly here in Florida yesterday...and this morning...for us, anyway. It is so funny when you go out ....the locals have on turtlenecks and scarves...the tourists have on shorts and flip flops!
Stay warm,
Robyn
Lauren, Loving your dog rug....so cute! Also, always love pictures of rugs and dogs together....they tend to gravitate towards the wool. We are getting snow here today....finally! Perhaps our cold snap is what has got me going on my hooking mojo as well....nothing like curling up on the couch with some coffee, a rug and a hound or two?!
ReplyDeleteYour dog rug looks great!
ReplyDeleteI love the way your dog rug is turning out, Lauren. Can't wait to see it and the floral when you finish!
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the list of goals...I need to work on a long one myself ;)
Linda
I really like your little dog rug. Its amazing what you can get hooked when that hooking mojo kicks in. I'm on a roll lately too.
ReplyDeleteP.S. It is minus 19 today and with the wind chill they are saying minus 29 Brrr
Good morning Lauren~
ReplyDeleteLove your little dog rug & Annie is adorable!!
Have a wonderful day~Becky
I'm glad that you've got you hooking Mojo. I've got lots of filing to do and our taxes are still not even thought of here. List always helps me stay the course but lets face it, we all somehow forget the list after a while.
ReplyDeleteI think that Annie is approving of your cute little dog rug. You got a lot done on it.
I'm still quilting away slowly . Got knocked down by the flu and still not feeling all that well but on the mend. Hugs, JB
Your little dog rug is really cute and like the colors you chose. The last dog mat you did you used a brown texture I believe, and it was nice too.
ReplyDeleteI'm still working ever soo slowly on my Magdalena dog rug because of trying to organize my wool room. I can only take working up there in small doses. Sure do wish I'd started this process before ordering all that delicious wool from Betsy ~ I'll bet there I'd not have ordered 9 yards if I had.
Saundra
Love your puppy rug, really cute piece and love the shades you are using, really gives it a nice vintage look.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Your little dog rug is adorable! I love the hit & miss - and those motifs in the background. Hurry, hurry! I wanna see it all finished! LOL
ReplyDeleteLauren, I love your new rug it is so cute! Hugs Cheri
ReplyDeleteOh....we do have lots in common. I have that same "inbox" problem....and haven't done my filing in at least a year. Help....I'm feeling buried. Your doggy rug is coming along wonderfully. Every time you post it, though, my eyes go to the wonderful texture of the cream wool and your amazing directional hooking....Robin
