Kingwood Hook-in ~ Part One

Saturday was the hook-in at Kingwood Center in Mansfield, Ohio.  This wonderful hook-in is a gift to hookers from the oh-so-generous and talented Katie of Kidl'-de-Divey Woolens.  The setting is beautiful and all the homemade goodies she provided were very yummy.  Thank you, Katie!!!
Her theme this year was a baby shower.  We were asked to bring the first rug we hooked.  Below is a sampling of the rugs.  It is hard to believe some of these rugs were the first rug hooked.  Their first rug looks better than my 60th!

A silent auction of donated items netted almost $800 for the Ashland Crisis Pregnancy Center.

Kingwood Center is a former private estate that is now a public garden.  Here is a sampling of the succulents and cacti in the greenhouse.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I have lots more to share from the hook-in in another post.
Pug hugs :)

  3. Ok, Miss Lauren - so which one is yours??? Not holding out on us, are ya??? ;o) Seriously - that is truly amazing...can't believe any of those are "firsts" - I'd be frightened to try them now after years of hooking...(But - I know your pieces are awesome too - just saw one over at Tam - A Primitive Place that she apparently won in a giveaway before I started blogging...Wow....LOVE it!!! Loved the photos of the gardens too - reminds me of our time in Arizona when we vacationed there.....Can't wait to see more!!! (And you'd better fess up on your "first!") :o) Have a wonderful week!
