Oh, Lauren, I can certainly sympathize with you. We have a herd of 10 deers this year and they seem to have no enemy. Sometimes I wish there were poachers to take care of the problem. I have put Irish spring shavings around the plants they usually eat and it seems to work but I don't always have the time to protect my plants during harvest and canning time. They can be a total nuisance. I wish they would go deep in the woods but they are getting pretty tame and daring. One even gruffed at my son, one morning.
They have eaten some of my Asiatic lilies but some I protected with spiky supports I bought at the Dollar Store.
At least, you don't have a bear problem like Cathy.
Grrrr. Frustrating. My dad heard they don’t like the smell of human urine. Suffice it to say that mom was not amused to find a pail of it stinking up the garage
sorry your feeding the deer from your garden.. i know my daugher/boyfriend lose alot of vegies to the deer and is very frustrating. we have deer wonder down here but i have never had them eating in my yard. altho.. its such a jungle i probably wouldn't notice!
I thought you lived in a town, but the deer seem to be a real pest. When we are driving that is always such a danger because their are so many deer now.I hope they grow back stronger and better.
Our landscaper men have never seen the deer eat what they have been eating this year! Everything that they’ve planted the deer have eaten! They have no idea what’s going on and it sure is frustrating. We’ve had as many as 15 in our yard at a time. Right now the biggest culprits are three of the cutest little fawns you ever did see!
Oh Lauren I feel your pain I have battled deer and lost badly. Every one said get deer off she eats around ir ugg

Just think if you had Cathy's bear problem. I'm glad I only have to deal with deer and the fuzzy tailed rodents (squirrels).
