Seriously???

This was on the front page of our local newspaper this morning.  I am assuming Heather Chapin is all of 19 years old to think that 62 is elderly.  Are there no editors who questioned her?  God willing that one day she will be this "elderly".  I bet she will change her tune in a heartbeat 😁

An Easter classic.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊

  1. Truth be told, when I was a kid I thought my parents were OLD. So she will change her tune later that's for sure

  2. cute Easter cartoon. In her defense when I was 30 I thought 62 was elderly. It is not middle age unless he is living until 104 lol

  3. Oh, that poor man. I'm glad the detective came to his rescue. Here in Canada, a person is considered a senior at 55 and qualifies for senior discounts where applicable. Old age Security Benefits can start at 60 or 65 if they chose. So in defense of this journalist, I would say she is justified in calling this gentleman elderly.

Some feel old before they are 62 and some never grow old, lol...

I love your chocolate bunnies cartoon.

  4. My daughter told me, "Mom you are old!" I think you are only as you feel.
How sad about that poor man though. I hope you have a lovely day.

  5. I remember thinking my mom was going to die any day when I found out she was in her 30s. I was about 7-8 at the time, IIRC. I don't remember being worried about Dad though. Now that 62 is in my rearview mirror, it gets younger every day.

As Julia pointed out, senior benefits and discounts start out anywhere between 55-62 depending on which one we're talking about. AARP - 50 year olds can join. Maybe it was an attempt to indicate the 62 year old was frail and had no chance of fighting back? There are 62-year olds that the punk (will not call him a man!) would need rescuing from. I can understand the reporters choice of words, not that I agree with it.

Cute bunny cartoon - I don't remember seeing that one before.
