Nada ~

Nada whole lot going on.  As usual, busy all the time but just on piddly stuff.  Nothing really share worthy.

FINALLY ~ Being the master procrastinator, with the IRS deadline looming, I should finish my taxes and get them filed today.  They are pretty basic, but I just always wait . . . and wait . . . to get them started.  Then it feels so wonderful to be done and I can breathe a sigh of relief.

I am finishing up one more small Halloween mat.  I really like how this medium value wool is hooking up.  I will probably just be working on a few small pieces and not start anything big until I head to rug camp in West Virginia on Mother's Day.

I am also working on rug labels.  I got way behind and had about a dozen mats/rugs needing one.  I am not yet halfway done but one more thing I will be able to cross off the list.

That's about it.  Pretty pathetic 😢

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

  1. I have a sheet of 9 rug labels which need printing onto fabric but haven't done that yet. Then they will need to be stitched onto the rugs. But I only have one big honking rug to bind and that's Blue Bowl

  3. Well I am working on Halloween goodies currently. Am actually loving working on these items, and looking forward to August to set it all up at the store. I know I am rushing the seasons, but Halloween is my favorite. Hope you have fun in West Virginia. Bob and I drove through this state a few times on our way to my nephews house in North Carolina. Both pretty states! Janice.

  4. Your "pretty pathetic" looks very ambitious from where I am sitting. Please don't talk to me about taxes...please. Actually, please don't talk to me about much of anything...it's likely to be a sensitive subject at this point LOL. West Virginia? Seriously??? I've always wanted to go there. Snot. ~Robin~

  5. You always get so much done even if you may not think so. I also feel like I don't get much done around here but I'm always busy. I feel like a bee without pollen and nectar just going around in circles, lol...

Rolling thunder finally found us, just now around 11:00pm. I heard a big Kaboom and the house shook and then the wind and rain started.

I'm waiting after Easter to get our personal taxes done but we wait until later to get the farm business taxes done. It's never a fun time and I can't wait to have that behind us.

Take care and happy Easter. It seems to come so fast this year.
    Hugs,
    Julia

  7. What’s worse than having to file taxes yearly? Having to do 2 sets of taxes yearly. Despite living in Canada since 2007 AND being Canadian citizens, we still have to file taxes with the US.
I love that background too- looking forward to seeing the whole rug.

  8. Ha!! Blake will be taking care of our taxes tomorrow. He has someone do them, but has basically been fiddling with them since January. Two years ago the IRS cashed our check but never applied it to our account and then wanted to put a lien on our checking account. They admitted that they cashed the check but never did figure out where the funds went. We have finally just gotten a letter saying hour count was credited with the amount. I hate government bureaucracy. Love that plaid background. Have a great rest of the week!
