Punxsutawney Phil has predicted six more weeks of winter . . . and it is already starting this evening. It had been raining all day and has now changed to snow. The good news is that the rain has melted most of our existing snow. The bad news is that it will freeze and we are expecting 8" - 12" of that white stuff on top of it.
My little snowdrops which can now be seen will once again be buried. Thankfully they are very resilient!
I am moving along on my Granny Donaldson rug. What a fun hook.
Be sure to stop to stop by Saundra's blog to check out more Granny D rugs in the hook-along.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

It's been cloudy here today so I guess it means an early spring. 46 days to spring.
ReplyDeleteYou are really getting ahead on your Granny rug. I love the colors. You always have such nice wool.
We're expecting rain and snow too. Right now I can hear the roof dripping.
Take care.
Hugs, Julia
Yeah I have no ironstone bowls. LOL Still snowing here. UGH It is a heavy snow with it sticking to the trees, so hopefully none will fall down and break some power lines anywhere near us. Hoping you are safe from this storm as well. Yeah I heard Phil saw his shadow. The groundhog in Canada did not see his shadow. I am going with him. Loving the colors of your latest rug and love seeing them all on Saundra's blog too! Janice
ReplyDeleteAnxiously awaiting what colors you choose for your flowers!!! We all seem to be getting down to the end of a fun hook-along. After your Ole Jack and Granny do you have any ideas for a hook-along????
ReplyDeleteWe are in for 6 to 12 inches of snow starting later this afternoon. Phil's ex wife Phyllis says he lies lol. There is nothing growing here we are much to covered in snow and much to cold. Stay warm and careful of the ice.

Your rug is coming along nicely. This storm is a nasty one mixed with ice so staying home and hooking is a good plan. We will only get rain, then cold. That's fine with me. as rain is usually PJ days for me.
ReplyDeleteIt is fun isn't it? I love your rug. I always love your rugs. I like seeing your hooking. I heard about Phil seeing his shadow. They should bring him out here. We have Pear trees starting to bloom. It just makes me crazy. I love snowdrops. I love seeing them come out of the ground.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have an awesome day. I hope the weatherman is wrong. :)
Our groundhog saw absolutely NOTHING as I blindfolded him and buried him in a snowbank....you know, just to be sure/safe. Your rug is looking amazing. Hope your weather improves...and soon. ~et~
ReplyDeleteI like what Robin said about the ground hog !!!LOL !!!
ReplyDeleteIt has been pouring here since last night , only snow banks left . Just waiting for the sleet to begin & maybe a little snow . All the schools cancelled school today ( Friday) . They could have been open after all .
Love your Granny rug ! They are all wonderful !!!
