Groundhog Day ~

Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today and as legend holds, that mean six additional weeks of winter.  Phil was awakened at 7:25 a.m. and made his prediction in front of about 16 members of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club at Gobbler's Knob.

Since our winter here in northern Ohio, has been extremely mild, I hope it gets no worse.  We did not get hit with as much snow as predicted ~ maybe 4"-5" is on the ground.  NOTHING like states east of me.

Do you feel like you are living in "Groundhog Day"?  I know I am.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

  1. Yes it certainly does feel like I'm living groundhog day over and over again. Just received notice the April rug camp has been cancelled once again, for the 3rd year. Not sure what will happen about Cape May in September.

  3. I did watch Phil on tv this morning. It was snowing at the time so knew he would see his shadow before they even said it, but was interesting to see what they do. Yes we have had a mild winter here too, but it is going to get quite cold next week. UGH Janice

  4. You crack me up...that meme is hilarious. But, now I am confused....I thought the groundhog saw its shadow if it is sunny and wouldn't see it if it was cloudy...but Janice thinks because it was snowing, it saw its shadow? When di life get so hard???? ~Robin~

  5. Lord that Bernie is every where!!! I can't stand him so I wish he would go away.
My friend and I have been saying this for the past few weeks when we talk we have the same conversation about work and home as we do nothing else.
I am hoping some of the hooking events will start to happen but who knows

  6. We got snow and then rain, so we have snow, but it is mushy.
Love all the valentine projects you have been making, I had planned on doing some, but other projects are calling me.

  8. Ugh! Bernie even messed up an early Spring! lol!
We got snow....lots of it.... I'm guessing 18 inches? Difficult to measure because of drifts and also some rain had mixed in for awhile... anyways, it's a mess and after clearing the driveways, walkways, roads and parking lots... there are HUGE mountains of snows all over the place. Really though....we haven't had measurable snow in quite a few years... we were due.

  9. Our groundhog didn't see his shadow this year. We got snow but with the rain, I don't know how much we got. The plow went by and left big chunks of snow in the driveway. It's very mild.

I hope for an early spring. I don't know how Bernie is doing but that school teacher who made those mittens is getting deluges of orders for those mittens. Maybe you should give some of your musical hearts to Bernie so you would get lots of orders too. lol.

    Have a great day.
    Hugs, Julia

  10. Love the Bernie meme. Nice to have something to laugh about. 4-5” of snow would put us down for a week. I am so ready for Spring. No more winter😡
