Friday ~

In my previous life, when I had a day job, I was always so happy to have Friday finally get here.  Now, I barely know what day of the week it is πŸ˜ƒ

I do have a couple things to share with you.  I finished another little Valentine freebie.  Another one I am sure will not be sewed in to a little pinkeep before Valentine's Day.  I am just not good "finishing" my finishing . . . LOL!

Progress has been made on my punch needle piece.  I am having some thumb pain, so working on this is a bit uncomfortable, though I am determined to get the punching done.  Once again, there will be a problem with the "finishing".

I started a new hooked project, Wonky Love Heart.  The punch needle pattern can be purchased from Jo (Leedy Ritter) Wick on FB.  The instant download is only $6.00 and permission is given to enlarge.  I guess I am feeling blue as I am hooking this in many shades of teal/blue.

How many times have you left your vehicle and forgotten your mask?  I know I do often, so I leave you with this.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

  1. Hello Lauren,
That was a cute graphic. Yes, of course, I try to keep one in every place in my purse, car, I found one in my coat pocket. I love your little Valentine projects. I always love seeing your work. Yes, I had problem's with my hands using the punch needle too. It finally went away.
Now I am trying to get back into embroidery and its giving me the same problem. I do love your blue hearts too.
So many projects isn't there. I have just been enjoying them all.
    Have a lovely weekend.

  4. It's happened to me to walk out of the car without my mask, so now I keep some in the car, in my coat pocket, and in my purse.
Your Valentine cross stitch didn't take long to stitch. It's such a pretty pattern and you did a great job on it.

Finishing projects is always a challenge for me too.

Take care, keep doing what you like to do.

    Hugs, Julia

  5. Don’t know which project is my favorite!!! That punch needle might just be it. How will you finish it?? I am forever leaving the cursed mask in the car and having to go back. Will it never end😑

  6. Absolutely ♥ your πŸ’—s❣ That blue is to die for.... I have masks shoved all over the place and since my purse would double as a small piece of luggage, I can usually find one shoved in there someplace.... Whether it's an "appropriate" mask or not is another story. The last wedding I went to found me maskless...so I dug in my carry-on bag and I had a choice of a Halloween mask with a day-of-the-dead style skull or one that said "This Mask Is As Useless As Our Governor." Oops. I settled on the Halloween one. Happy Friyay! Here I was thinking it was only Thursday. ~Robin~

  9. I also have gotten out of my car, started walking and saw someone with a mask then went back to the car to retrieve it. Also guilty of ONCE walking into a store and was reminded. So it does happen,

  10. When I get in my car, I wrap a mask around my phone. Otherwise, I was getting to the entrance of the store or office and then having to double back for the mask. I really love the design of your Valentine's freebie. As to finishing...I seem to choose pinkeep/pillow tuck about 90% of the time, one trick pony!

  12. I've forgotten it once at home, and a couple of times in the car. As other said - I keep a pack in the car now.

And yesterday, our governor (Iowa) has dropped all gathering limits and mask mandate!!! This as the new more contagious variants are coming and and vaccinations are unavailable. :-( I got no words. No - I got words, but I'll keep them off your blog

  14. I am loving your blue hearts this year! What fun to make red white and blue for July 4th! Hmmm maybe I might do that...if I have time. LOL Actually working on some hooked carrots for the gift shop. Bob is always forgetting his mask. He even leaves it at home sometimes. Now he finally keeps a spare in his van. Janice

  16. Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful! It's a good thing we have such awesome hobbies!!! :-)
I was in Walgreen's yesterday when I walked past a guy that was not wearing a mask. I was fine with it, cuz you never know who medically can not wear a mask. By the time I got to the register, I heard the guy say "Sh*t!!!!"... and then I see him (with his arm over his mouth), heading to the door (probably to go get his mask)... lol! So, sometimes folks just need to relax and give others a chance... because we are all simply human! ;-)

  17. Just wanted to say 'Thank You' regarding mask & forgetting. I now attempt to keep them everywhere! I look to the walk back to the car as needed exercise! Your projects are wonderful a big thank you for sharing.
