Just a Quickie ~

I hope this post finds you all well and hunkered down the best you can.  I made a quick trip to the grocery store yesterday and was surprised to find it less busy than normal and the shelves were pretty well stocked.  They even had some store brand tp. (It was Aldi's so if you are familiar with them you know they normally do not stock major brands.)  In talking with my Las Vegas son the other evening, he says there is no tp to be found there.

Just ~ finally ~ wanted to share this finish with you.  It was started last April at rug camp with Tricia Travis (what a sweetie).  I wanted to finish it before this year's camp and did, but of course there is no camp.  It has been rescheduled for September so something to look forward to.

Antique Floral, pattern by Payton Primitives sold by Heavens to Betsy.  The finished size is 20" x 46" which is a big rug for me.  Of course the colors are so much better in person :)

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

  1. Lauren, your rug is stunning, beautifully done. Too bad about the cancellation. September is a long way off.
It's snowing here today and it's melting at the same time. No seeds started yet in my sunroom. I'm staying put but my husband goes out once in a while. During Lent, I have cut out a lot of yummy food so I'm low maintenance right now. I even made my own bread instead of buying. I'm waiting for warmer and drier weather to start working outside.
    Take care, hugs,
    Julia

  7. Yay you!! That finish is beautiful!! And THANK YOU 100x over for posting the dimensions. Like I said, you were tempting me with putting it on my hooking dance card...but I like the antigodlin hooking and thought it would exasperate me. Ummm....almost 4' of it DEFINITELY would LOL.... I will share my cookies with you....really and truly. Pretty soon I will have eaten myself into a coma LOL. Stay well and behave.... ~Robin~. (PS...no tp here....someone said there was some at Sam's during "elder time"...but I refuse to get up that early to get toilet paper. Says me now who has some rolls left....)

  8. Lovely rug Lauren you must be very happy with it. We are good on tp so I haven't even looked for any. I am trying so hard to stay out of the stores.

  9. That rug is gorgeous. This whole situation seems surreal . As if we will wake up tomorrow and find it was a big joke.

  11. beautiful finish Lauren! I hope to maybe get a class with Tricia sometime. I have been to her shop in San Antonio area and I have some of her wool I purchased hooked into a treasured Polly Minick WIP canvas. so much has been canceled - just like so many - our life is on hold but that's better than the alternative. Stay safe and be well. Mel
