Happy Sunday, dear friends. I hope this finds you happy and healthy, social distancing, and doing everything possible to stay that way.
This week I was able to accomplish some yardwork. The weather wasn't yardwork perfect, but I made do. In fact, I am about half done with the spring cleanup. I have never done yard work in March :)
Sweet mini daffodils |
I did manage to already catch poison ivy. Not sure how it happened since I had on a jacket and gloves. Funny. When I moved here in 1999, there was lots of poison ivy along the neighbor's fence/my yard. I tore it out and never got poison ivy. Along that same fence, coming from the neighbor's side, I've now gotten it for three years. I guess the old body is changing in more ways than I can possibly imagine. Today I even mowed the lawn :) It feels so good to play outdoors.
I finally have been hooking. Just a mindless hit 'n miss runner that I am making for a friend's May birthday. It will end up being about 4 1/2' long with each square being just over 4". I am about half done and getting bored. Something different will soon be on the frame!
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren
Another good post ...that Little Debbie could be me if I stop hooking or punching !!! Have to keep my hands busy, busy !!!
ReplyDeleteLOL on Little Debbie. Pretty daffodils. Hopefully we all wont go daffy staying inside. I am working on both strawberries and witches. Janice
ReplyDeleteHate to admit this but back in the day Little Debbie Bars with coffee was my breakfast. Yes, yard work time is here again and my body can't take much work in a day of bending over.
ReplyDeleteLOL...seriously. Tears almost ran down my leg when I read these. You always find the best ones I swear. Oh how I wish I were on your gifting list LOL...that runner is SOOO sweet!!! (And long, oh my!) No green things or yardwork here yet....in fact, it's snowing. Sigh. Can't believe it's lawn-mowing time by you already. YIKES! Happy Sunday to you...stay safe and sane. ~Robin~
ReplyDeleteI love the why the dog chews the furniture.
ReplyDeleteWe have done some yard work in between snow storms. But I have been cleaning out some things.
and started a new rug.

Your so called mindless projects always look great to me!
ReplyDeleteA good meal is what we look forward to at the end of a ‘stay at home’ day ! Spending much more time in the kitchen these days - the treats are rolling out like a bakery!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rug hooking for your friend.
Rose
Your yard will be lovely...I love the daffodils! Loving the hooked rug too, Lauren! Yep...I think we'll all be wanting to chew our furniture by the time this is over...LOL!! Have a good day and stay safe!
ReplyDeletelol! I guess we all might start chewing the furniture soon... ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou have really given me a good laugh today!! Your hooked rug is very pretty. Hugs,
ReplyDeleteI can't remember ever pulling so many weeds in March, as I have this year. Thankfully, it is raining today so I have a day of rest from that tiresome job. I love the hooked rug. I can imagine it on my not-so-fancy dining table!
ReplyDeleteI Amin the yard, too, but it is much warmer here. Prepping the veggie garden beds...we usually plant on Good Friday. Like your hit or miss. Such mindless fun to hook those.
