Two More Finishes ~

Just a quickie post to show you my two recent finishes.  The scrappy mat is hooked and I must say, I love it.  Unfortunately it did not make a dent in my worms :(

I need a quick little gift, so with Valentine's Day fast approaching, I thought a little heart mat would be apropos.  I went to the worm box and gathered reds that I thought would work together.  There are probably 12-15 different wools.

This is the background wool.  I cut it against the stripe.

Finished it measures 6 3/4" x 8 1/2".

Now I need to start binding.  UGH!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

  1. Your "hit and miss" rug is gorgeous, Lauren! I've never done a hit or miss design. Your little heart mats are so sweet!! I can't wait to see you & Melissa at Sauder next week!!!

  2. Two beautiful finishes!!! Not sure which I love better LOL... The hit-n-miss though intrigues me always as I think I am just too OCD to really do it LOL (so, to answer the unasked question, NO, I have never done a hit-n-miss ha ha). Lucky giftee of the heart mat.... Robin

  9. Both pieces are delightful. Should be hooking something in the heart vein myself but sadly am not. And yeah, that darn binding thing. My Star geometric still isn't bound.

  14. Both are lovely finishes. Love the little heart especially. Isn't it funny how the finishing finishing is always the part that you say ugh to? lol! I find it to be the same with knitting (sewing on the buttons to two cardigans just hasn't happened!), and in cross stitch. lol!
