Progress ~

I've made progress putting the Christmas decorations away.  I did 51 flights of stairs today, most of them hauling boxes to the attic.  I bought some new shelving, so hopefully the "Christmas room" will be a bit more organized.  I just have a few miscellaneous items and lots of trees left to put away.  Then it's redecorating time.  I really don't change things around, but I take so much down to decorate and now it all needs to be put back.  And it's all up in the attic so I will have many more trips up and down the stairs.

I've made a little progress on my rug.  I was really hoping to have a little more done today, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.  So far ~

You'd think I'd have a little more done.  I went hooking Monday evening and Tuesday attended the Lorain County Hookcrafters bimonthly meeting.  (I just looked up the definition of bimonthly and it can mean twice a month or every two months.  Hookcrafters meets twice a month.)  Tomorrow is the Western Reserve Guild meeting, so hopefully I'll get more hooking done.  It's so nice to be able to go hook during the day.  I am lovin' this thing called retirement.

I had my mammogram today.  Have you scheduled yours?

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)

  3. WOW, What a coincidence, I had mine today plus a Dexa scan. OMG, 51 flights? Way to go. I got my Nativity packed, now hubs can put it up. Still more to do. You have been busy with hooking. That's next for me and I just ordered some primitive linen. Can't wait to get it and try it on a few smalls. Am loving your rug...it looks beautiful.
Have a great rest of the week.

  7. I don't do 51 flights of stairs in a week, let alone a day. You go girl.

Your rug is looking old and sweet.

  8. What a cute rug design I've been harboring a 'memories' design in my head for years. Drew one out and flipped the linen over and drew something else on the back which did get hooked.

You will certainly log in some good miles today with your putting Christmas away.

  11. wow, that's quite the workout girl. It's exercise with a double purpose. I got my totes in the living room. I still have to take down the tree and nativity but I's rather hook. I stared a new challenge rug last evening evening to use up those accumulated worms.

Your Memories rug looks like a fun rug to do.
Take care enjoy your retirement. I'm still waiting for mine at 70. Ridiculous....

  12. Had mine in August and annual physical in December. I am set for awhile. That is a lot of steps for your Fitbit. Think you can forget the treadmill for a day or two. Great start. Love the texture in your posies. I always find getting the first few loops in the hardest. So glad you are living retirement!!

  14. Yep, had the girls checked out a few months ago. I don't miss my dental appointments or my mammogram. Colon cancer also runs in my family, so that's another appointment I make every 5 years. I know, too much information, but the alternative is too scary.

Your rug is looking great. Those flowers are so cute!

I am not a real decorator at Christmas...I think it took me an hour to take my stuff down. LOL

    Have a great Friday!
