Do you hear them peepers? For the last week when I've walked Ellie in the morning, I've heard the peepers. A sure sign of spring . . . . along with the first of the daffodils I've forced to bloom. I pick them when they are only a few inches tall and it is amazing how much and how quickly they grow in water.
Last evening I headed an hour south to hook with the Hidden Hills hookers. It was a rainy drive down ~ which in daylight wasn't too bad, but an unpleasant drive home in the dark. Oh, I must be getting old. Driving in the rain at night never used to bother me . . . sigh.
It was worth the trip. I finally started sewing the braid on my snowman. I got most of it done there and finished the rest when I got home. I think it looks pretty good, don't you? I will post another picture when it is totally done.
These are some very talented ladies. So much eye candy :)
So happy today is POETS day.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)

I agree with the hard time with night driving And in bad weather I white knuckle it.
ReplyDeleteHi Lauren, I love the Dafodills, so pretty. I don't drive but night driving is bad let alone in the rain.... Love the braid on your rug, so much talented gals. Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteYup, our eyes and visual perception at night changes as we age. Not to mention the glare of the oncoming headlights on the wet road. I do not drive at night anymore.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great eye candy. I've never done a braided edge on a rug or pillow before and have been afraid to tempt it even tho Betsy made it look easy.
I can't wait to hear the peepers. It's a sure sign of Spring.
ReplyDeleteI still drive at night if I have to but I much prefer driving during the daylight. I put my high beams on as much as I can until I see a car coming, lol.
I'm looking forward to see your snowman. Love the neat braid.
Hugs,
JB
Wonderful pieces and I do love the braided edge.

What a great group of Hookers you met with - are any of them bloggers? I always thought the hardest part of braiding would be joining at the end - be sure to take photos of each step and share one of your great tutorials with us, okay? Love all the photos. I too, hate driving at night!
ReplyDeleteYour braiding on your snowman is looking great! I've never done braiding, thinking a new challenge for me! It certainly finishes off a mat/rug extraordinaire!! Spent the day cleaning yesterday, would rather have been hooking! At least I could open the windows & doors and let the fresh air in!! Enjoy your weekend!!
ReplyDeleteWe too must be home before the clock strikes nighttime... or we may turn into who knows what.
ReplyDeleteLUV the daffodils...my favorite spring time flower.
Enjoy with Peace for all,
Barb
I love that braided edge!! I think it looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThe rugs are wonderful. What fun, to sit and hook with that kind of talent.
I hope you are having a nice Saturday.
I don't mind driving at night yet but I can't read the food labels anymore. I wear magnifers with my contacts in the kitchen.
