Sauder Quickie ~

Just a quick little post to say the Sauder retreat was WONDERFUL as always.  Lots of hooking, camaraderie and let's not forget eating.

I was working on my Maggie rug.  Here is what I had done upon arrival . . .

My goal was to finish the black background.  I should have known better . . . sigh.  It seemed I was doing a lot of hooking, but this is all I accomplished.  Sorry the pictures are so washed out.

I do have a few more pictures to share, but no time this evening.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

  2. It's looking great and the background really makes the colors stand out.
Being with like minded people really makes it a pleasant experience.
Thanks for the update and I'm looking forward to seeing the others pictures. You're so lucky to be going to these hook-ins.
I hope that you have a goos week with not too much snow.
    Hugs,

  8. This rug is a beauty! I think you made wonderful progress on this during a hook-in... the couple of hook-ins I went to I never even set up my frame! Too much talking and shopping... maybe not in that order... lol!

  9. The black background is making the colors stand out. Gonna look great! I need to get back to rug hooking but there is so much else to do. There are almost no rug hookers in my area and the only rug hooking guild is almost 2 hours from me. It is nice to see photos of what your group is working on.

  10. You are probably like me in that when you talk to a hooking partner your hands stop working when the mouth starts moving. I look at the person when I'm talking to them so hands stop.

Love your progress as well as the colors and find it interesting you save the border for last.
