If you are an admirer of Edyth O'Neill, there is a wonderful article in the latest issue of Early American Life magazine. Not about hooking, but about her beautiful home filled with items collected with her late husband Jack and furniture he built. The pictures are breathtaking, her taste impeccable. Thank you, Edyth for sharing with us.
Winter started out slowly here in Ohio, but will not be leaving us anytime soon. It was a bit above freezing today, but still a damp, dreary cold. The ten day forecast does not have a day above 30*. Maybe this will be our last hurrah? Wishful thinking . . . this is Ohio.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)

So sorry Ole' Man Winter still has you in his grip. My BFF, outside of Boston, is about done in with all the white stuff, with more on the way. It is one wicked winter! Edyth's home is so lovely.
ReplyDeleteStay warm,
Robyn
Oh Lauren, ole man winter is here to stay for awhile too. Keep Cozy, Francine.
ReplyDeleteCan you believe two more storm are on the way to the Maritimes but I'm in Ottawa so it looks like I'll be spared. It looks like Fredericton will be missed if lucky.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, sooner or later February will be gone and Spring is getting closer. I don't know what else to say. I'm sick of winter too. I'm a wimp...I'm a wimp, wimp, wimp...
Hugs,
JB
We missed January Thaw so I hoped it would come in February but it's not looking good. Lol.
ReplyDeleteAll the snow so far has seemed to go north. Next to nothing for our location in the NC mountains. Cold is on its way along with high winds. To me that is worse than the snow.
ReplyDeleteThere is only ONE place that carries the mag around here and they don't have the new issue yet. I'll keep checking. In the rotten snow. And ice. And cold. Did I ever mention that I hate winter?
ReplyDeleteI am going to track that down. I have her PDF book that I just bought this week and I have loved reading about her and Jack and her red cape. I have always loved her rugs and I would love to read that article. Such a great lady. Thanks for sharing that.
ReplyDeleteI will also look for the magazine when I go to town.
ReplyDeleteYou know why I'm still doing my happy dance!!!!!
Enjoy the snow for me. Julia
I just got my copy of EAL today and was so excited to read on the cover that there was an article about Edyth! I have been a loyal follower of her rug designs and blog for years....
ReplyDeletewe are in for a couple of more storms it is snowing as I write this and a bigger storm this weekend. It has not been above freezing since December here so we have it. I will have to pick up that copy of EAL
ReplyDeleteCathy
I hope the library has a copy of EAL. It looks like a great article. Thanks for the heads up.
ReplyDeleteYuck! Another gray cold dreary day here. I can hardly wait to see green grass and flowers.
Thx for letting us know about the Edyth O'Neill article. I will have to run by Barnes & Noble to pick one up. I keep meaning to subscribe. We anticipate cooler weather over the weekend, but nothing like what you are having. Stay warm and hook on!
ReplyDeleteI love visiting all the pictures of the sweet pugs on your side bar.
ReplyDeleteI have had 2 sweet pugs Ollie and Sissy who are not with me any longer and I miss them so much they were such joy in my life.
Used to get EAL but sadly let it lapse, too many subscriptions here. Seems winter was INSIDE my house yesterday and a lot of today but seems the beginning of warmth in here now.
ReplyDeleteI so admire Edyth O'Neill she is such a talented artist..and her home to die for.I no longer subscribe to EAL, but will look for this issue at the library. I do follow her blog...Sending greetings from cold snowy Maine...
