As usual, a day late and a dollar short :)
I finished the hooking on Here a Chick, a Barbara Carroll pattern found in this book.
The finished size is about 26 1/2" x 24".
I need to do a little reverse hooking on these two faces.
The chicks were hooked with an 8 cut (ick), some 8.5 was used, but the majority of the rug was hooked with a 9.5.
Now it's time to plan and get busy on the gift rugs. Why do I not do a better job planning ahead?
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)

ReplyDeleteI have been on a diet for 2 weeks I tried to put on a pair of capris and there was no way I was zipping them. So it was time.
Cathy
I hear ya girl, I love eating out, but it always shows on my thighs.....the thighs never lie!

I love your little Mexican guy. And I love not cooking so I say Yeah for your restaurant outings. We all need a treat sometimes. Rug looks great. 9.5? Wow
ReplyDeleteLauren,
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like I need to take a road trip to experience some of those restaurants as well as help you fold your wool! LOL! I think your rug looks great... those wide cuts are hard to get the details in faces.. but they look fine to me! That pug in the sombrero would make a cute rug too!
Hugs!!

Someone does not look happy in his outfit, lol.
ReplyDeleteLove the rugs, really nice design and wools.
Debbie
I baked cookies for my husband tonight and ate SIX! I am in real trouble and need to lose the 20 I gained. Your "model" looks adorable.
ReplyDeleteHilarious!!! I love the get-up your sweet pug has on! Happy Seis de Mayo to you as well!!
ReplyDeleteToo funny!! Nice finish on your rug!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Sooooo cute! :-) Five Guys rocks!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your puppy, too cute! So glad you got out with your friend, us girls need that. Love your rug hooking, that is on my bucket list to learn. hugs, Lecia
ReplyDeleteWow, 9.5 eh? No wonder you accomplished so much in so little time. I'm going to hook with #9 at Barbs and maybe higher, will see. Your mat looks great.
ReplyDeleteThe scales won't like me either when I return home from camp in less than 2 weeks. Ah, but the price we must pay to have fun and eat well.
Saundra
A great way to celebrate spring... Throw that scale away and enjoy life while you can. It's been a long winter...
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the rug and the Mexican amigo looks pretty serious guarding that bottle. lol
Hugs,
JB
Lauren,
ReplyDeleteYour rug turned out awesome! Love the curves in the background. I love using the 9.5 cuts too. The 8 looks so small after that, doesn't it? Have a good day.
hugs, Lori
Lauren,
ReplyDeleteHow long did it take to convince that cute pug to model that sombrero? I assume he didn't need anything in that bottle! Love how your rug turned out. Love the wide cuts but usually stick with my go-to #8. Get much more details.
Glad spring has made it to my native Ohio. Thank goodness, the rain has finally stopped here. April 2014 was the 5th wettest April since they started keeping count. Getting 15" in two days washed away all my new grass seed.
Busch a cute Pug picture, made me smile...love your rug turned out fantastic, Francine.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am in love with that sweet puppy face !
ReplyDeleteHe needs a kiss and a hug ;)
Rose

ReplyDeleteLauren, your rug is wonderful! Love the "yellow" dog and the red kitty. I hope that pug had a designated driver!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Mother's Day!
