The two day hook-in at Sauder Village in Archbold, Ohio, was great fun. So many talented hookers. Here is a sampling of the rugs being hooked.
This was one of my favorite rugs. Such great colors.
Melissa was hooking Barbara Carroll's Distlefink pattern. She changed the bird to look like her lovebird.
The hooker of this rug lived in Hawaii for a time and she is hooking this from a photo she had taken. It is a rather large rug and she is hooking it in a 3, 4, and 5 cut!!!
Thirza was hooking this huge rug with hand torn strips. The colors were truly magnificent. The picture does not capture the beauty.
Isn't this a fun rug. This hooker said she normally hooks "dirty".
Katie of Kidl de Divey Woolens was hooking this wonderful bed rug in a 6 cut. She is the fastest hooker you've ever seen. (I love you, Katie!)
I was trying to talk her in to giving it to me . . . lol!
I am hooking the Tin Rooster, a pattern from Star Rug Company. This is my progress day one.
And day two. I was hoping to get more done since I am hooking it in a nine cut. {Big sigh.}
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

ReplyDeleteI'm a fine cut hooker and it's a snail pace hooking but a #9 ,woah... that must go real fast.

I always really enjoy looking at all the different rugs that people hook. I love when you get to go to a retreat. It looks like such a fun thing to go do someday.
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! I love to stay at Sauder Village. The colors in Katie's rug are really beautiful ~ and she is anhooking machine, isn't she!!
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing all your photos from the Sauder hook in - you guys have so many events up there - you are so lucky! It was fun seeing Katie's bed rug photo - I am doing the same rug - color planned by Dianne Kelly. I can't believe she is finished with the rug she started a few weeks ago in Jacksonville at Off the Ocean - I agree - she is the fastest and I am undoubtedly the slowest Take care and have a great week - PS love the colors on your new rug! Mel
