Please Tell Me it's NOT December 20!

To say I am behind is an understatement!  I think sheer panic is beginning to set in.  I took a vacation day today and hope to accomplish miracles.  I need to finish binding a rug that must be mailed, mail the packages at the post office, Christmas shop, birthday shop, wrap, write a few personalized Christmas card letters (individual ones, NOT a generic letter for all) . . . and I am sure there is more.  This is how the dining room table has looked for days . . . and I hate chaos!

I couldn't figure out why I was having such a hard time sewing the binding on this little rug.  Well, duh, I forgot to trim the linen.  Maybe that has something to do with it.  Am I just a bit stressed?
Just remember, stressed spelled backwards is desserts :)

Sunday was Tuba Christmas and here's Jake during Jingle Bells.  He had so much fun!

Well, I better go trim the linen and finish that darned rug!
Pug hugs :)
Lauren

  1. Ha! I had to laugh at your dining room table. That is how the bed in my guest room looked until a few days ago when I finally attacked the wrapping. It is a chaotic time of year, but somehow everything gets done. Hang in there.

  3. I worked my last over-time evening last night and Yes, panic has set in. But its more like guilt than full blown panic because whatever doesn't get done - won't get done.
When I got home from work last night at 8:30pm last night I started binding a gift rug too.

  7. Some people pull miracles together working under pressure, perhaps you're one of them.

Can't wait to see a picture of the finished rug. I love the textured wool is that as is or over dyed? Whatever it is I'm sure it makes the rug.

  12. Lauren and in no time that table will be all clear.

I do hope though that you can at least take one day and just relax.

I did that on Sunday...nothing but blog hop, answer e-mails and read a book. One of the best days I've had in just ages. I MADE MYSELF DO IT TO RE-GROUP! Plus my body wouldn't let me do more. And...I did/am doing less this Christmas. I feel so much better for it.

    Merry Christmas

  19. Hi Lauren.......wrapping is hard work!
Because of things around here this year I haven't bought the first gift but I have bought 19 gift cards!
Just have to put them all in little tiny gift bags.
I know you will have everything done with time to spare.
    Merry Christmas,
    Linda

  20. Lauren,
Actually, it is NOT December 20. By the time I get your blog in my email, it's a day later. So today is December 21. Somehow I don't think that makes you feel any better.

    Merry Ho-Ho!

  22. Lauren,
My mess is on my old wood ironing board... Lets just hope I don't need to iron anything ... if so I'll just have to stick it between the mattress and boxspring!
I really don't know where the time went to this year ...
Great duh moment ... If that was me ... I'd still be trying to figure it out ... and have everything listed on Ebay ... wool, frames, cutter ...LoL!!

Hope you get everything done. Have a great Christmas!
