The god of sunshine was smiling on Malabar Farms on Saturday. The vendors set up Friday evening in rain and mud, but thankfully the weather cleared and by early afternoon the sun was shining.
This is the only picture I took at the show. It was life sized and just a hoot. I wish I had gotten a picture of her bare feet. I am also sorry to report I did not get the name of the vendor.
I didn't buy a whole lot (though I could have!), but purchases sure do add up quickly.
I did get this bittersweet wreath for the front door.
This sweet little Jack from Rhonda over at My Glory Stars.
A jar full of buttons and this cross stitch pattern from Lee at Falling Star Primitives. I bought a pattern from her last year that is still not stitched :)
Yummy wool (MUCH more subdued in person) from the Aults and Alice over at A Day in the Life.
Last but not least these really cool old spindles from Bobbie at The Evening Stitcher. She used one as a hanger for a little dress. I think they would be really neat to hang a sampler or small hooked mat.
Lauren How fun. You were shopping away. My favorite item you bought is the silver plate spoons.Have a great week. I love the black dolls Cheri
ReplyDeleteLove the bittersweet wreath.
ReplyDeleteGreat purchases!!!
ReplyDeleteI've been reading all over about this show - oh how I WISH!!! Lucky, lucky, you!! Fun, fun, finds - love the spindles!! You'll have to be sure to show us how you use them!! And Rhonda's Jack is too cute!! Love her work! Hmmmm....think that's enough spoons?? ;o) Wishing you a wonderful week ahead! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
ReplyDeleteIt was so nice to see you, Lauren! It was a really nice show. Next year..I'm not selling...just buying! Although Melissa and I did pretty darn good doing both! Love your wreath and pumpkin from Rhonda. The booth was called "Tattered and Torn"..They had all kinds of really neat stuff...they always sell out quickly.
ReplyDeleteLove that picture of the life-size doll! I heard people talking about them but never got out there!!! Looks like you found some good things ~ I saved lots of money because I didn't get out to shop! I know I missed something I just had to have!! Thanks for stopping by our booth ~ much appreciated!!

I'm jealous too Lauren! You got some great things. I got to go the first year. Would love to go again but its a long way from where we live. So glad the weather turned out nice for the show. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Lori
ReplyDeleteI thought you said you didn't buy much?? Lol I think you did OK. That life size doll is cool but she probably would have freaked me out in person. It might bring my "clown thing" back to the surface.
ReplyDeleteHi Lauren, isn't that funny how we met up without even making plans on a time?
ReplyDeleteYou took great pics, I forgot my camera and would have loved to take pics of that beautiful farm. It was fun talking with some of the bloggers around.
So where shall me meet next? I plan on hitting all of the shows that I can this fall.
Linda

ReplyDeleteHi Lauren...sounds like a PERFECT show...one I wish I could have gone to.
ReplyDeleteWhat a hoot that doll is...I imagine she had many photos taken that day!
Wonderful goodies - love the wreath. I certainly could use something on my front door besides the Indian Corn...lol
Karen
Lauren, you sure bought a lot of things and my favorite was the wool, and the wreath, the sampler pattern and the silver plated spoons. All these wonderful shows must be a lot of fun to attend and also running into blogger friends. Hugs, JB
