Christmas greetings to you. Tonight I thought I would share some of my vintage Christmas decorations. This is a wind-up celluloid Santa and reindeer on a metal sleigh. I bought it with the key and box and it still works. My guess is that it's from the '40's.
Another celluloid Santa sitting a celluloid sled pulled by a one-antlered reindeer.

More celluloid. The Merry Christmas to the left is vintage Germany. The large Santa on the right held a candle. The book is a reproduction.
Celluloid Santa tucked in the tree.
Celluloid Santa rattle.
A small flock of German stick leg sheep.
I believe these Santas are also from the 40's. All are vintage except for the Santa on skis. The bottle brush trees are also vintage.
1960's???
Santa made in Occupied Japan.
More vintage ornaments. I believe these are from a type of pipe cleaner with celluloid or papier mache faces.
Out of the mouths of babes...My grandson is 5 and his mom dropped him off at my workplace shortly before it was time to go home. I gave him some paper and a couple of markers. He drew a picture (not sure what it was) and then drew a line through the middle of it and told me it was a "line of symmetry" and then told me what that meant. A bit later he was drawing a boy and was helping me draw a girl. He told me to draw a trapezoid for her skirt!!! Luckily I drew it correctly.
I really must get busy and get the box that needs to be sent to Las Vegas ready to mail tomorrow. Then there's the box to Alabama...and southern Ohio. Cards to finish...silver to polish, wreaths to hang.....gifts to wrap.....
Pug hugs :)
Lauren
