Last week my five year old grandson, Jake, had his first soccer practice. The coach kept calling him Jacob, and finally in frustration, he said that his name was "just Jake", so now he is known as "Just Jake".
The team had their first game after only one practice. It was so much fun to watch. They were so proud when they stole the ball from another player ~ even if it was their own teammate! So what if you scored a goal for the other team? You still scored. Oh, the innocence of a five year old!
The pictures are 'just priceless'! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteHe's growing up fast, isn't he!
LOL "Just Jake" is adorable. At that age they like to tell it like it is! I hope he scores on the other team next time!
ReplyDelete"Just Jake" must keep you in stitches! He's adorable and way to go on scoring - whatever team it was for! LOL
ReplyDeleteJake is a cutie pie!!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing"just' about his smile. He is the cutiest.
ReplyDeleteI just love that sweet toothless smile! What a great boy! Your description of the goals for the other team, etc., reminded me of my kids when they started. They really didn't have a clue as to what was going on, but they still had a lot of fun (and so did I watching them)!
ReplyDeleteI love it "Just Jake". Reminds me of when my daughter Nicole was younger. I called her Nikki one day and she looked at me as if I had two heads. Said that wasn't her name, and I never shortened her name again lol.
ReplyDeleteLauren ~ Your "Just Jake" is just adorable! Isn't going to their games the most fun? We will be doing the same thing soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks, again for posting all the rug pix from the hook-in. I LOVE seeing all the great rugs done by such talented people. It is inspiring and encouraging. Have a great week!
Just Jake is pretty darn cute, Lauren!!
