11th Hour of the 11th Day . . .

In 1919, President Woodrow Wilson declared November 11 Armistice Day.  It marks the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month when the allied nations entered a cease-fire with Germany, bringing an unofficial end to World War I.

Please remember, freedom isn't free and never take our freedom for granted!!!  Take a moment and thank a veteran today.  May God bless our soldiers.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊

  2. I thought I commented yesterday, but guess not. Sadly our veterans who have seen the atrocities of war who may have all their limbs still have scars which we cannot see. I hope they get the help they need too.

  3. Bob and I had the radio on that day listening to the remembrance day celebrations from our Canadian friends. We were driving and I decided to keep the channel on. It was a nice tribute to their veterans. Janice

  4. I love your sense of history and your patriotism. We also celebrated Remembrance Day on the 11th. We witnessed some very touching moments with some videos of heroic veterans. May we be always grateful for their service and sacrifices. God Bless our neighboring countries, Canada and America.
    Hugs, Julia
