It doesn't look like much has been accomplished but it really has.
My kitchen ceiling is tongue and groove and painted the same color the cupboards will be. I absolutely LOVE it!
Bruce worked many days in the bathroom. Most of the room was taken down to the studs. Water, gas, and electric lines had to be moved/added. Drywall is now in the "mud" stage.
The living/dining room is chaos. There is literally a path running through the two rooms and it keeps getting worse as light fixtures, bathroom sink, and faucets are added to the piles. The hardest part is not having running water on the main living level! (But this, too, shall pass 😁 )
I have lots of Sauder pictures to share. Stay tuned.
Oh I knew this was going to be good and it is! It is!! I love the ceiling - and your kitchen will be so light and airy. I have tongue and groove too...with beams...but it's a low ceiling and, unfortunately, very, very, dark. I did not want the kitchen to look like an after-thought add one and so was forced to mimic the original ceiling it adjoins. One of the things I dislike the most about this house. ~Robin~
ReplyDeleteKudos to your patience to get thru the lengthy and noisy refurbishing process. Am sure you will love your new kitchen, so much so you may never want to cook in there again for fear of messing it up, lol.
ReplyDeleteNo spuddling going on here!
ReplyDeleteYour ceiling is Beautiful !!! Things are moving right along & looking good !!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your photos of Sauder ! Old Tattered Flag posted some amazing pictures , just incredible the artistry is just unbelievable to me !!!
Gorgeous ceiling! Soon all the upheaval will be forgotten and you’ll be loving the renos. Time to host a kitchen warming party?!
ReplyDeleteYour ceiling looks amazing. You are lucky to have found this handyman to do your renovations.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the Saider rugs.
Hugs,
Julia
I love your ceiling, ours are low, so afraid to do anything like that. We always seem to be in the middle of projects and unfinished ones, Bill starts and never quite finishes, so time to hire someone for the big one, our bathroom. Took him 5 years to do the one in the basement, lol. Can't wait to see. your photos of the hook in.
