Not by choice, but life has just been crazy busy, but any more, that seems to be the norm.
I am working on a small Santa to put on a pelt board that is the same size as the ones I used for my snowmen. I should have hooked him at one sitting, but that did not happen.
Next up I will hook a couple more small mats for the Crooked River hook in being held on September 23. Used as door prizes, mats and sunflowers have come in very slowly this year. We hope to have one mat and one sunflower for each of the 25 tables. I have hooked Scaredy Cat a few times, so should be an easy, FAST hook. Not sure what the second mat will be.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊

Happy to see you have pulled some loops or else Saundra is going to be calling you !!!
ReplyDeleteYour Santa will be so cute on those old pelts , the wool you are using is perfect ! Scaredy Cat will be a fun , easy project . You have to make 25 small pieces to give away !!! Yikes !!! Lucky people who win them !!!
See? I knew that moss didn't grow under your feet. I'm glad that you dusted your hook just to keep Saundra from picking at you. I too pulled a few loops just before I hit the sack, the last two nights but just a few. About 10 minutes worth.
ReplyDeleteYour neighbors must admire your yard full of flowers and ornaments. It looks so pretty. I've neglected my lawn and had to rake the lawn today and the rain chased me in.
Enjoy the weekend. Hugs
Julia
I seen your previous Scardy Cat hooked pieces of LOVED them. I haven't hooked one but should since I have the freebie and yours was great.
ReplyDeleteNancy's comment was funny and Julia already scolded me to be nice to you but it feels so great to poke fun. Besides I told Julia I would get 'pay back'.
Thanks for the hooking update and love that wool used in Santa's coat. Think I have or had some of that same wool.
Hope you get some rain for your garden soon.
Already loving your santa color. Garden looks nice. By chance did you go to the Zoar show? Janice
ReplyDeleteI love what you are working on right now. But, I love your garden. Its so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou have been so busy.
scare-di cat is a hoot. a classic design (project) Agreed with you about crazy busy summertime
ReplyDeleteJust wondering what size Scaredy Cat is? Cute! I love the Santa too
ReplyDeleteWow that is a tall order one for each table. Your Santa is sweet. We were in a country store that had an antiques corner that had about 10 of those pelt boards for 12.00 each I told my husband I bet not many people would know what they are any more.
ReplyDeleteHappy hooking
Cathy
Your garden is sooooooooo pretty.
ReplyDeleteI here ya. Been their. I no what your saying.
ReplyDeleteI was going to try and make some funny comment regarding the last quote (which could very well be my life statement), but I am still drooling over your garden...it is GORGEOUS! Is the tall climbing plant on the right side of the photo a clematis?? I just ripped out some plants in my pool border....one spread too easily and was only pretty for a week and my coreopsis got cut to the quick as it was infested with some kind of beetle/bug. That border has been a challenge as nothing seems to thrive there. I love scaredy cat and santa too.... So many loves, so little time. ~Robin~
