Since I will be vending at that "non hooking" show in October, I am trying to make things that I hope will sell. Here are sunflowers on a bedspring that I have made. Picture was taken on a gloomy day so the color - as usual - is lousy.
I've started some small hearts to set in a bedspring. Hopefully they will go quickly.
I finally got my antique adaptation on linen for my upcoming Kris Miller class. Will share soon. It was a real bear and took me many hours. Not perfect but it will do. And to think Saundra does this often. No thank you!
I decided to go "play" today at the antique mall. I bought a few Easter things I did not need 😁 Not antique but vintage.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren
Love your goodies to sell at a Hook In ! I bet you will come up with more clever ideas !!!
ReplyDeleteYou are teasing us with your next project to hook !!!
Forgot to say , I Love your Easter goodies !!!
ReplyDeleteHours? Okay, I admit it takes a little time to trace out the antique on 8.5 x 11 piece of paper, then the enlarging, trimming of paper and taping together. And transferring to linen. So the process does take some time but hours? Guess I've done it so many times it doesn't bother me. Plus I might do it is stages...the tracing one day, taping pattern and preparing linen another, then transferring design to linen another. After all, can't afford to lose too much hooking time in one day, lol.
ReplyDeleteHope you do well at the show and like Nancy bet you come up with more ideas to make.
Your sunflowers are the cat's meow, really amazing and they will disappear quickly. I love your colors. They go so well together.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your antique adaptation. Don't leave us in suspense for too long.
Saundra uses a computer program to enlarge the designs but I've never used such a program I project the image on the wall with my cell phone but it's more difficult to trace on the wall.
Good luck at the show. I hope that you sell a lot. Don't forget to take lots of photos.
Hugs,
Julia
OOPS, forgot to say I always love your sunflowers on springs they will all go fast.
ReplyDeleteWhere are you vending at? Your sunflowers are always nice. I should make some for the store this year. Cannot wait to see your new rug and what it is going to be. Love your bunny too! I have a few and for the life of me could not remember where I put them, so they did not come out this year. Janice
ReplyDeleteI like how you decorate for each season/holiday. I change out a few accessories for spring, like throws and rugs. But nothing like you decorate. No wonder your house always looks so cute. And your sunflowers turned out great. I hope your show is successful.
ReplyDeleteOOOOO.....love, love, love those sunflowers. Gorgeous! Can't waitto see the heart springs too. Love your new bunny and eggs too. I have a few of those eggs...someplace...and a few of the egg crate/pulp bunnies...where? Hmmm.... And you have way more stone fruit than I do. Never ever did find any decent grapes. Happy Monday. ~Robin~
ReplyDeleteI was directed to a you tube channel, she lives in Ohio, has videos of so many wonderful antique places to visit. I think she is in Medina? And building a house that makes me want to start over.
ReplyDeleteYour offers are super!
I like your sunflowers and still have a spring to use. I also had a kit to make those, not sure if I have all the supplies though, I think I let someone have the proddy tool. Will have to look for the kit and see what I need and if I have it.
