Around the Yard ~

This is my favorite time of year in the flower gardens.  The spring bulbs are long faded, but so much else is in bloom.

I was given this old funnel and DSO pounded out most of the dings and found some chain to hang it.  Hopefully the mini petunias (million bells?) will bloom again soon.

Nary a loop has been pulled on my camp rug in many days.  I did get these sunflowers finished and taken to the antique shop.  The $$ will come in most handy for my upcoming 3 day class with Sally Kalin.

I finished one more sunflower today (I am plenty tired of them!!!) to give to a fellow hooker who gave me MANY bedsprings.  I will see her tomorrow at the hook in where I am vending.  It is very small but such a delightful day.  Simply top notch.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊

  1. Wow! Those sunflowers are just amazing. Such a great variety. I'm sure they'll sell pronto!!! Your gardens are flourishing and your peonies are beautiful, mine are still just in the budding stage. I've been too busy to put support around them except for the largest one but I'll have put support on them as we are getting rain this coming week.
I think that you may be the rug hooker with the most classes and hook-ins and hooking retreats that I know.

Good luck with your sales, and have a wonderful weekend.
    Hugs,
    Julia

  2. I agree with Julia's comment on your number of hook-ins and camps per year, must be over 12. Your second photo of flowers, I have the very same ones lining the driveway at the entrance to the property and never knew the name of them as a few were given to me as starters.

  3. I just love those sunflowers! I am so glad I have one. :) They are so pretty. I bet you are tired of making them though. Your yard is so beautiful with all of those blooms. Your peonies are so pretty. It doesn't get cold enough here. Mine never did grow very well. Its just so gorgeous.
I hope you have a lovely weekend,
    Kim

  4. No matter the season, there is always a fabulous collection inside or fabulous displays outside. Love the funnel! I have one, expected it to become a hanging lamp. Maybe not!

  6. Another class?? Geesh. When do you graduate?? Whenever it is, you ought to have a doctorate by then. Your yard is gorgeous! I started a post last night and had thought to post some "color," but found we actually had quite little yet. And now, comparing to Ohio's, it will be a skimpy post LOL. Holy sunflowers... I'd have been tired of them after 1....guess I have a short attention span. Yours are gorgeous...the colors as amazing as Mother Nature's. ~Robin~

  9. Love, love, love all of your flowers! If you have any hooked sunflowers left, I would love to buy one, or if not and you want to make one more for me...!
Thanks, and hope you have a great time!

  10. What pretty plants you have! We had a bunnies nest underneath our fern....alas we thin Tundra found them. Those sunflowers scream Fall, and I so love the colors of that season. Hope they sell well for you. Am back to working on Halloween myself. I only have 2 months before decorating the store. Have to hurry up. Janice

  11. Did you ever send me an email telling me the name of those flowers I asked about in this post? If so I didn't get it.
