Christmas falls on the same date each and every year. You would think by now I would not be surprised when it arrives. I am more ready this year than ever, but still gobsmacked by the thought it is almost here. I even got the silver polished while watching A Christmas Story last night. (There was one year I was polishing it on Christmas Day but it was important to me that we use it!)
Here are more of my decorations. Pretty much the same as I have posted in years past, but if you are anything like me, you won't remember 😁
Isn't this the cutest snowman light? I bought him at the same antique shop where I got my carpenter box. He was a real deal for only $8 and it included the light cord. Heck, the last time I bought a light cord I think I paid $7!
More snowpeeps (as Robin called them).
Salt glaze Santas and my multiplying collection of hard plastic choir boys.
My two favorite blowmold Santas.
I got these cards in the mail on the same day. One from Florida and one from Alabama. What fun.
Your house looks so festive as compared to mine but for some reason, I'm still in the Christmas spirit.
ReplyDeleteI love those salt-glazed Santas. I think they are my favorites. I looked at everything, then I forget what I wanted to say because my memory is so short when the post and the comment box are on two separate pages. If I go back to check the post, I lose the comment. Lol...
Poor little puggy muffin, to have stitches removed just to be stapled up.
Merry Christmas,
Hugs, Julia
I agree with Julia that the salt-glazed Santa's are also my favorite. And while I'm scrolling thru the pictures my thoughts were...'thank goodness I don't have to pack up and carry all that stuff back to the attic'. My cleanup after Christmas will be minimal but I'm in the Christmas spirit in real time.
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are lovely! I should start going back to antique shops and thrifts, those are probably far less crowded than flea markets and antique shows. Or maybe start checking on-line? OTOH, I'm trying to cut down on what I need to drag up/down from the attic.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Molly's side is healed at least, and out of the cone(?). Maybe she needs a support garment to take the weight so her back can heal too?
Love your snowmen! Your collections are so fun. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI Love seeing your collections & the pretty ways you display them !
ReplyDeletePoor Molly ....hope the staples help and she will heal quickly .
Merry Christmas Eve !!!
Merry Christmas Lauren. So enjoy the photos. Sure would like a walk through video before it all returns to the totes!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love all your wonderful snowpeeps! You have such fantastic Christmas collections! And too funny - I was planning on doing a Christmas post tomorrow and posting my saltglaze Santas...but now I will need to reconsider - your collection puts mine completely to shame. Holy smokes! Well, at least green is a Christmas color. 🤣 Miss Molly...well, glad it's more of a "delay," than a "complication." But another trip to the vet. Grrr. Be glad pugs are more easily transportable than Huskies. Especially Huskies who are no longer malleable. Polishing silver? Say it ain't so. ~et~
ReplyDeleteWell I am always in awe of your collection of salt glaze Santa's and choir boys. I know a customer that has 500 blow molds in Halloween and Christmas. He even has a storage unit to put them all in and brings them all out for each Holiday. He is still on the hunt for more and even wanted our store display snowman. I would not sell it though. Merry Christmas my friend! Janice
