You know me. I love my old stuff. I went to a great primitive antique show a couple weeks ago. My new old treasures. A wonderful crock ~ the damage is hidden in the back.
A large Peaseware container to add to my collection. The other pieces were put away when Halloween decorations came out and won't be put back out until after the Christmas season. Once again, the damage is hidden in the back. (Do you detect a pattern here?)
A fun bootjack turned shelf. (No damage!!!)
Last but not least, I found this really cool old lamp base. I can picture a narrow hooked rug hanging from it . . . or an applique piece . . . or even cross stitch or wood sign. Of course, all those projects are just floating in my head 😁
Thursday I am heading to Millersburg, OH, for three and a half days of hooking heaven. Always a fun time spent with like minded hookers.
I will leave you with a bit of canine humor.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

You found some nice goodies !!! I like dings & dents , just adds character right ? And makes it more affordable ....The old lamp piece will be great with a nice piece hanging from it !
ReplyDeleteHave lots of Fun at your hooking gathering !!!
And Loved "Dogs Rule !!"
ReplyDeleteYou must be the happiest hooker with yet another hooking gathering for three days. What will you be working on?
ReplyDeleteDog do have their own rules, don't they, but you also have your own rules too. If it's old and collectible, and the price is right, buy it.
Take care,
Hugs, Julia
I am so, so, jelly. I don't know which of those three treasures I love best!! I beg to differ: YOU have the best stuff! Years back, I found an old lamp base somewhat similar to this....except it didn't have that cool bar at the top from which you could hang something. Come to think of it, I think it was actually n old metal oil torch LOL.... Never mind. Have fun hooking!!! Will be looking forward to seeing some photos. ~Robin~ (Love the dog rules...SOOOO true!)
ReplyDeletewonderful finds damage or not. I found a couple of those lamp bases Not as cool as that one but David rewired them and we use them they beat anything made today
ReplyDeleteI am totally jealous!!!!! have a wonderful time

OMG dog rule #10 was always the one here. Ben knew how to capture my heart. Great idea for that lamp base and me thinks it should be a narrow hooked piece as it will hang better than a stitchery....me thinks, lol.
ReplyDeleteAm jealous of your 3 day get away, but then you NEED to pull some loops for goodness sake!!!!!
OMG that is our Tundra to the tee! Have fun at the show and you did score on the treasures you found. Were you at the Simple Goods show or another one? Janice
