Here are some of the rugs being worked on in Cathy Stephan's class. Sorry I did not get all of them (but I did better than I usually do).
Val started this in a Cathy Stephan class 5 (?) years ago. She made much progress in class. |
Here are a few of the rugs that Cathy has hooked.
I have Cathy again at rug camp in September and this is one I am considering, but not sure I could pull this off.
This rug is so long I had to stand on a stool to get it all in. Friend Melissa started it (she was in class B) and I look forward to her progress.
Cathy's version of The Poser. Sadly I have not found the time to pull even one loop since I've gotten home.
This is a rug Cathy is in the process of hooking. It is HUGE. Another one I think I would like to hook, but not sure I could pull this off either. She also has a smaller version of the pattern, but this large one she is hooking with handtorn strips.
I'm off before the crack of dawn tomorrow . . . heading two hours south to a hook in where I was asked to bring the Magdalena rugs I have hooked to share with the group. I only have a few . . . unlike Saundra 😁
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊

Beautiful rugs , such pretty soft warm colors !
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the rug photos. They are all beautiful. That kitten reminds me of the hooking kit you sent me once.
ReplyDeleteTime is going so fast, I'm getting behinder and behinder the more I try to get ahead. lol...
Hugs, Julia
Happy hooking! Boy there are some beauties there!

Love the Rooster and the cat. Sorry I didn't see what you accomplished but 'I get it'. I'm the same way wanting to wait until there is something more substantial to show.
ReplyDeleteAm sure yours are just as nice as Saundra's. Hope you have fun and drive safe. Loved looking at all of these wonderful rugs. TFS Janice
ReplyDeleteTesting...testing... Managed to get through to blogger on my cell data standing on my head facing due south...hope it holds for a few minutes at least. Ruh roh....think I'm in trouble.... I know I've seen most of the rugs you posted here of Cathy's, but it has renewed temptation. And she is really making a masterpiece of that horse rug. Gah!! Loving it!! Have fun at the hook in...and be sure to share photos of the rugs you took....I am kind of liking standing on my head. ~et~
ReplyDeleteWould love to take a class from Cathy. Everyone always have the best rugs.
ReplyDeleteWhile I might have hooked more Magdalena rugs than you I've not hooked all of them. Perhaps that is what I should have on my frame now instead of the design I'm attempting. Think I do a blog post now on the Magdalena rugs I've hooked just in case you're still there and someone wants to see them too.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely rugs! Now nice to get to go to a hooking. I hope I can get to back to hooking soon.
ReplyDeleteLove the background of that horse rug!
ReplyDeleteEvery single one of those rugs is beautiful!! So much talent. I say go for the big rugs. It's only one hook at a time, right? Have a fabulous week.!
