How do You Eat an Elephant?

How do you bind a rug?  A little each day.  I have the attention span of a gnat, though it has been pointed out to me that gnats are very persistent so I'm not sure where that saying has come from.  My hit 'n miss is finally steamed and bound.  It only needs a label . . . and I am falling behind in labeling my rugs.  It is my largest rug hooked to date.  I hooked it for next to my bed, but I've decided to take the front door rug, put it bedside and put this one by the front door.  Note my little photo bomber.

A smaller version of the same rug about 6' from the larger one.

I have started Madi's favorite by Margo White but not enough is hooked to make it worthwhile posting.  I am using some of the wool I dyed last week.

Me some days . . . sigh.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊

  2. I'm so far behind in labeling my rugs I'll have to check the back of the pieces hooked in 2020 up to present. AND, as small as my Ben Memorial piece is it still isn't fully bound. Am saving the rest for when I get my roots done next week since I hate waiting and hate binding.

  4. Such a precious photobomber! The Hit n Miss looks so nice by your door. I can't wait to see how the wool you dyed looks in your new project. The colors were so pretty.

  5. Your big hit and miss rug look perfect at the front door. Of course, it just needed a little photo bomber to make it complete. Congratulations on binding it so fast. I love it.

When I'm tired, I feel just like the old lady in the cartoon.

    Take care, hugs

  7. You done good on the rug! I love it - very colorful, yet not overly bright colors. I'm not sure I'd put it at the front door though due to fear of it getting damaged, but then again, where else could you admire it often every day?

I think I finally figured out why Molly always looks like she's waiting for... something. Calmly waiting for whatever life throws at her next? It's her lack of forehead wrinkles that give so many pugs comical expressions. If I didn't know better, I think she had botox done. Unless it's due to black being so difficult to capture details in photographs. I had a black cat - it was so hard to capture more than black blob surrounding her yellow eyes.

  8. The née rug looks great!! Did a milky grab her but on it yet?? Daisy can hardly get to a freshly hooked rug. I get the old girls, unfortunately 🥴

  9. So...my first thought was I don't eat elephant. Then I figured it would be like salmon (which I don't like). So...I'm going with tartar sauce. LOL

Your rug is so beautiful!! Definitely a labor of love.

Yes. I am old. But I forget every day that I'm old, so I guess it's okay. LOL

  10. It looks wonderful. I do like binding rugs, but big ones are a bit tougher. My mind seems to be like that too.
I hope you have a nice rest of the weekend.

  11. Love that hit 'n miss rug.... and the sweet little model posing so nicely on it too! I should start a hit 'n miss, just to get back to hooking. I had to search my blog to see when I last hooked.... and it was 2014.... wha? lol!
