Just a Quickie ~

Just thought I'd pop in for a quickie before I get serious about packing for tomorrow.  My wool and hooking supplies are ready to go (the important stuff), but I really need to pack the toothbrush and some unmentionables 😁  I've a last minute change in what I will be working on.  I decided to forego Gypsy so quickly enlarged Dancing Bunnies, an antique adaptation which wasn't even on my hooking bucket list.  Other than agonizing over bunny colors, it will be an easy hook.  I'm still taking the hit and miss to work on and am hoping to bind Peter Rabbit.  I will have more than enough to keep me busy!

I am looking forward to springing ahead this weekend.  I know some of you hate the time change (Robin) but I love it.  An extra hour of daylight is good for the soul.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

  1. Believe it or not, that pattern HAS been on my to do list for years and still haven't hooked it. BUT, bunnies are on my mind too. Who is your teacher? OH! I'm damn jealous of your gathering. Why was the April camp here cancelled?? Over a year on lock down??

  2. Oye.....I had pleasantly "forgotten" about Daylight Saving Time. Thanks for waking me up. (And, literally, I will think of you when I have to wake up an hour earlier each and every day until it is over.) I have always loved the dancing bunnies.....in picture form, sculpture form, or hooked. I'm sure your colors will be spot-on perfect. Every time I think about hooking bunnies I seem to think of hooking with "fuzzy" wool....which I have learned is NOT fun. Have a great time at your little retreat...and I hope you don't get too much done. That wouldn't be any fun! ~et~ (PS....what's up with all these "innuendos" in post titles??? First Cathy with her liking "big" and now you.... For shame.)

  3. Yes, we have to be reminded that you are a rug hooker... and a darn good one, if I may say so...

I hope that you have a great time with your like-minded girls and don't forget to take pictures. Enjoy the weekend.
    Hugs,

  4. That is a fun pattern to do, I did a smaller version from a kit I won.

  5. Have a wonderful time at your Hooking retreat! Sounds like a grand time! Bev hooked the dancing rabbits for her new granddaughter’s nursery, I’ll look for a picture to send you. I’ve been wanting to punch it, but of course haven’t attempted that. Enjoy!

  6. have a great time! as you know I did this rug for my grand and love it. I do like the extra day light but I don't like getting use to the time change I say keep it at the spring time and leave it alone!

  8. When working, I liked the spring ahead (once adjusted to the new wakeup time - woohoo! got home in daylight!) and hated fall back (dark soooo early). Since retiring, I really don't care other than the 2-ish weeks it takes to get all the clocks changed. IMHO, set the time a half hour between and leave it alone.

Have a wonderful time at the retreat!

  10. Have fun! That's a cute bunny pattern!
I hate the time change too.... we'll get more daylight no matter what the clock says... I don't need to wear sunglasses at 9:00 at night... ;-)
Actually... I just glanced up at JustGail comment and think that idea fabulous! The 1/2 hour thing...
