Thanks to all who entered my little give-away. Congrats to Olde Dame Holly! If you do not read her blog, please add it to your "must read" list. She offers many fun graphics for her readers. Holly, you have until Saturday to contact me.
Here are a couple rug finishes from the Millersburg retreat. Vicki is on spring break this week. She was going to paint her porch but decided the time was better spent hooking 😁 I totally agree. Here is Susy's Chickens, now just needing to be bound.
This is the child's drawing Lee based her rug upon. Isn't that just too sweet?
And here is the finish, made in to a pillow. She needle felted the kitty and added hand stitched details.
Spring has arrived on Ohio's north coast . . . at least for a few days, so I'd better get out to rake a few more leaves from the flower beds and enjoy the warm temps. Aren't these mini daffodils just the cutest?
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren
Congratulations to Olde Dame Holly!!!! Vicki had the right idea to hook and finish those chickens, she knows her priorities...GO Vicki. Lee's pillow of a child design is an heirloom and will be forever cherished even when as an adult.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Holly! She does have some nice graphics! I think hooking instead of working is so much better. My daffodils just have the leaves peeking out. I am older than Bonanza. I remember sitting in front of the tv weekly watching that show with my parents. Janice
ReplyDeleteOUCH!! That last graphic thing really hurts. Did ya really haveta? And hey, for the record....I still watch Bewitched, Bonanza and the Wizard of Oz. (Throw in Gilligan's Island and Perry Mason too as long as you're making me feel old as dirt.) Oh I adore Lee's rug!!! Gah!!! She did that drawing amazing justice!! I have been looking at some patterns that combine hooking and felting, but dang...I always seem to injure myself when I felt LOL. I do think that drawing needs to be made into notecards....I'd buy them in a heartbeat. Congrats to Holly on awesome win. You always have the best giveaways...this little necklace is just too sweet. ~Robin~
ReplyDeleteOH WOW! Yippee! I am so happy! What luck! Thank you! I am on Cloud Nine, even after reading your "want to feel old?" graphic! Oh boy, I do feel old. I can't even believe those numbers but I know them to be true and then some!
ReplyDeleteBoth rugs are delightful and I can almost smell the daffodils 🌼
ReplyDeleteSorry, again I'm lagging behind in commenting on blogs. I've been busy getting all the music ready for Holy week and grocery shopping etc.
ReplyDeleteThe rugs are delightful, especially that kid drawing one. There's something special about kids' drawings. I agree with Robin, that kid's drawings should be made into notecards. That's a great idea.
Lucky you to have daffodils blooming already in your garden. Those are darling.
You're making me feel old with those statistics. How did we get so old so fast?
Ugh--sadly I remember most of these events well--some might consider me old
ReplyDeleteOh boy I feel OLD ....Ugh !!! Especially after having a physical & the nurse asked me if I could could count down from 20 to 1 and say the months of the year backwards & if I fall down .....I'm not that Old Yet !!!!
