October Project List ~ Week 2

It's been a rather productive week and for that I am happy 😁

HOOKING

Santa & Rudy - pattern to linen - hook - bind - label
A pattern by Mavis Butterfield, you can find the paper pattern here.

Mr. Hempenstall -
pattern to linen - hook - bind - label
A fun pattern by Maria Barton, Star Rug Company.  Maria has such a fun style and you can spot her patterns a block away. 😁 Find it here.

Hanging pumpkin pocket -
hook - assemble - label
The pocket is normally not my style, but since it was gifted to me, thought I would hook it.  I must say, I LOVE how it came out.  Now to assemble ~ my downfall . . . sigh.

Old Tom - pattern to linen - hook - bind - label
Pattern by Lori Brechlin.  Find the paper pattern here.

Are you detecting that I LOVE paper patterns?

APPLIQUE

Rebekah Smith turkey - pattern to freezer paper - pieces to wool - stitch

Stack 'O Jacks - pattern to freezer paper - pieces to wool - stitch
A free pattern by The Teacher's Pet that can be found here.

CROSS STITCH

Bethia Fenshaw 1861 - stitch - attach to spool

WIPs to finish

Hooked sunflowers - proddy petals - add backing and stuff

Hooked Santa - finish hooking - bind - label

A Small Marine Sampler - (aka the cross stitch from hell) - finish cross stitching - hem stitch the edges
This was supposed to be a July birthday present, but I just got so disgusted with it I nearly threw it away.  (Marly, you would just burn it, right?)  The chart was fraught with errors and I had to guess at some of the motif placement.  I am just not happy with it.  There seems to be too much dead space in between.  I was getting ready to start frogging and redoing, then just said the heck with it and put it aside.  I was so close to finishing I figured I would go ahead with it as is.

I hope I've added the links properly for the patterns.  Still learning new blogger . . . sigh.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs 😊
Lauren

  2. GAH!!! Where do I begin??? I want whatever it is that you take that makes you the energizer bunny. Yikes. I have done diddly...and I mean DIDDLY...squat! And not just today sadly. Schnikies. You really like paper patterns??? I seem to find that when I order or download a paper pattern, it never makes it to linen LOL. I do usually manage to get my punched patterns to the cloth...but still prefer that they come pre-printed. And this should NOT be a huge issue for me since I used to help Cathy make patterns LOL. And, ya know....I really do love the marine sampler....You certainly compensated for the design errors wonderfully....and it is still tempting to me. The colors are beautiful. And you do know that it is only the 8th??? What happens when you run out of projects on your project list for the month??? Nevermind....don't answer that. ~ET~

  6. Wow!!! Your productivity is off the chart. You have been super busy with all your projects. You may not be traveling much anymore but you sure make up for it in all your projects. I've lost my hooking mojo but I still keep very busy somehow.
I'm into yard work, and I too have long lists which are getting shorter. It's so cold this morning, 3℃ or 37.4℉.

Keep enjoying your burst of energy and productivity, stay safe and well.
    Hugs, Julia

I haven't done anything since Covid, but that doesn't stop me from buying more patterns, fabric etc...

Do your hands hurt after so much hooking?

  8. Love the all. I am especially fond of Maria’s patterns. The pumpkin pouch is going to be great.... hooking is beautiful. And the XStitch is really nice. You are going to have to add to your to do list at this rate.
