Caroline Twigg (Eagles Nest Woolens) is an excellent primitive teacher. And did I mention lots of fun? Here she is demonstrating how she rolls her leftover worms in to balls.
Color planning on my rug.
Progress. I am loving the colors.
A few of the projects being worked on.
Gail Dufresne of Goat Hill Designs also taught a class before our hook in. Gail is F.U.N.K.Y. She uses many alternative fibers and BRIGHT colors. Her students rave about her.
The Crooked River Rug Hookers hook in was a great success. I heard compliment after compliment. I do believe a fun time was had by all.
A few of the vendors.
There will be no hooking for me in the near future. This evening DSO and I are flying off to Boston for a few days. (Have I started to pack? Of course not.) It will be a quick trip with us returning Friday morning. Saturday morning, partner in crime Melissa and I are vending at a hook in a couple hours away and we need to be there by 8 am. No rest for the wicked . . . er I mean weary.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)

Love your rug and the wools in the antique ones, think I need to do some dying before winter sets in.

Thanks for sharing some of your fun time at your hooking classes. The rugs are all looking great and I love the colors.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sold on the funky hooking because the colors are too jarring for me. I prefer quiet colors. It's just my personality I guess.
Have a safe quick trip. You never stop like the energizer bunny.
Take care.
Hugs, Julia

ReplyDeleteBe safe and enjoy every minute of your trip!!
ReplyDeleteOooooh! Berwyn would LOVE to get ahold of that worm ball!!! lol!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, warm, autumn colors in your new rug!
Safe travels and enjoy your trip to MA! Have a bowl of chowdah for me, ok? ;-)
Love the colors of your rug. The picture below that looks to be the antique adaptation Kelley Belfast had planned to hook and invited others in the challenge. Gal Dufresne is a talented hooker, dyer and teacher but I also prefer the softer more primitive colors.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty and colorful rug. Looks like you had a great time at the class.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hooking. Love that worm ball !!
