Bright sunshine. Blue skies. Temps in the low 80's. Summer is here ~ at least for a day or two.
At long last I got my teeny tiny little pond cleaned out :) DSO modified a pump for me that I am using this year to pump water. The iron hummingbird was a gift from my younger son for watching his dog one weekend. It sits perfectly on top the old sewer tile I had sitting in the garage. The perennial geraniums are almost done blooming. They get kind of scrappy so I will cut them back and get more flowers later in the season.
Congrats to Julie ~ My Primitive Heart. She is the winner of the little hooked hit 'n miss mat. Thanks to all who entered and left such kind comments.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)

Congratulations Julie!!!! Am sure you already know how good a hooker Lauren is so sure you'll look forward to displaying it.
ReplyDeleteLauren, have you ever had any heron or other birds of prey swoop down to fish?

Would love a small pond here, nut with all of the rain we have had this Spring...we have ponds everywhere. Love that hummer and what a sweet gift your son gave you! Congrats to my blogging friend Julie! Janice
ReplyDeleteWonderful little pond and love the idea of having an old pump for one.
ReplyDeleteThe ones I see in the store look cheesy, but something I would like to do in our yard.
Debbie
I'm so glad that Julie is the winner. She knows how lucky she is to have one of your pieces as I am...
ReplyDeleteI love that little hand pump and the little pond and that it's functional too.
Hugs, Julia
Sweet water feature! I have a pump similar to that, or it may be the same (since I don't know where it is). I need to look! Very nice Lauren.
ReplyDeletethe clematis is simply gorgeous. I have never seen one that color. love your pond I've always wanted one but after tending to that money pit in our backyard called a pool - no way I can even speak about another body of water in our yard to DH. Loved seeing your wool stash - I feel the same way about overdyed cotton thread or silk - no matter how much I have - I never have the right colors. Hope you get to reschedule your bike trip sometime this summer. Mel
ReplyDeleteLove your little pond. Does it have fish? I have the same hummingbird in my garden, except mine is a greenish color.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, albeit belatedly, to sweet Julie.... I know she will love it with all of her beautiful heart. Your little pond is great...we had one once...but DH never got the water feature of it set up, and after one of Little Crow’s friends took an unexpected “dip” in it after prom, it was gone LOL. I have some perennial geraniums too (not as lush as yours, of course and mine are blue), but, yeah...they sure get a bad case of the scragglier, don’t they? ~Robin~
