I can finally show the mystery rug I had been working on since it is now with "Auntie" Darlene. Darlene is a former pug mom who absolutely loved Ernestine and watched her several times this year when DSO and I went away. It gave us such peace of mind knowing Ernestine was loved and being spoiled rotten. Sadly Darlene is moving out of state. She will be missed!
The rug sports a little E tag for Ernestine. This brown is pretty close to the true background color.
The label :)
There was a small rug show at Hooktoberfest and I managed to snap a few pictures.
This snow couple was so sweet.
They were hooked to look like chenille.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Pug hugs :)

Oh My GAWD!!!!!! That is the bestest EVER gift. You should have made this two posts because nothing I saw after your gift piece could come close to matching. Am sure it will be adored. And am sorry you will lose your best Ernestine caretaker for moving.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable rug! You did such a nice job and I loved the dog tag. What a neat idea. Those rugs and those snow man and woman are so great. What a bunch of incredible hooking.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry your friend is moving away. That will be hard when she was someone you could trust with Earnestine.
Thank you for sharing today.
That is such a wonderful rug and I am sure she will treasure it. Love the rug show, and those snow people are really creative. I thought it was chenille at first. I do have some and wonder if I can create something with mine, be fun to make some larger stuffed snow people.

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gift. Love how you added the tag. With respect to the awesome rugs....I like the Frankenstein, the snowman, the dog, the chenille looking snowman...oh there are so many creative folks out there. The reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh made me smile too! Janice
